Love the lineup! Honestly didn't warm to Mae either so this replacement is great.

I didn’t watch the NY special but hilariously Nick Mohammed has just accidentally tweeted that he’s in series 17! Then realised he’s two weeks too early and hastily deleted it.

Don’t know if anyone else listens to the The Rest is Entertainment podcast, but Richard Osman said he’d talk about his stint on TM in a future episode. He did also say that he came up with the concept of House of Games many years ago but the TV execs thought it wouldn’t work and that audiences would find seeing the same contestants for several episodes in a row repetitive and boring. It was only after Taskmaster became a hit that he brought his concept back to the execs who bit his hand off!

Yeah I’ve been listening to it @CaveMum its rapidly becoming one of my favourite podcasts. I love RO

I am really hoping that they get Adam Buxton on - he's friends with Alex Horne and Tim Key, and there's a part of Adam Buxtons podcast with Alex Horne where I am CONVINCED that they go on to talk about Adam Buxton doing the show and it's been edited out!

Loving The Rest is Entertainment as well - one of the very few podcasts that I listen to in real time!

I also love TRIE. Not so keen on the "I saw/read this and it was very good" recommendations, but the behind the scenes telly mechanics from RO is fascinating. I used to love that stuff when he did it on Twitter before it became unusable.

I love all the “The Rest Is” podcasts! Alastair Campbell said over Christmas that a comedian was joking he was going to start a podcast called “The Rest is The Rest is” and just talk about random shit that’s not covered by the others!

I’m so looking forward to the series 17 line up (also saw the list, obvs). I know one has been nagging to go on it for aaaaaages, so very keen to see how they fare. It’s an excellent line up.

I can't remember where I found it but it was in a discussion forum that came up when I googled. Not the top result but it might be by now.

I also found the list. I have heard of 3 and not 2. I often like the ones I don't know so will reserve judgement! I have seen one of them do stand up and I do like him!

I agree. They should keep it to TV! Maybe a little bit of film. It’s a great podcast - like pp, it’s become a firm favourite so quickly. Listen to it the day it comes out.
