See what I did there 🤪

So it's between Marnie and Rochelle!

Place your bets!

Kinda obvious she is a mixed race woman, even Stevie wonder could see that.

Not really.

To me she she passed as someone who has gone overboard with the fake tan- which is a very common fashion.

billysboy · 24/03/2023 15:56

The whole show needs a proper shake up if it is to survive needs to be a bit more of a crossover with dragons den and less of masterchef

No trout pouts allowed and all arms to be in Jackets and heels optional

Contestants ought to be allowed to use the rest of the rooms in the house rather than one bedroom for 5

Its interesting the image that the producers portray to their audience and what they let you see in the final . Marnie was so much more accomplished and what on earth Victoria and her sweets were doing in the final Lord only knows

the80sweregreat · 24/03/2023 16:08

Dragons den is far superior to this show
It's a shame really as it has the potential to be good : just gone a bit downhill lately

When you go overboard with fake tan, you go orange and patchy like Donald Trump. It was obvious her skin colour is natural and that she has black heritage. You could tell her hair wasn't naturally straight too.

@ReneBumsWombats

Exactly !!

Where did they all go? How come only eight of them came back for the final? I know one quit and one got kicked but where were all the others??

They normally only have a selection come back, not all of them. (I recently discovered I still had series 14 recorded so rewatched it. Eight candidates returned for the final.)

ReneBumsWombats · 24/03/2023 18:55

Oh, OK. Thank you. I wonder how they decide who returns.

CornishYarg · 24/03/2023 19:26

Probably partly the candidates' choice and partly who will make good TV/create conflict

My thoughts exactly

memoriesofamiga · 24/03/2023 20:39

Well my DP was debating in the early episodes if Rochelle was actually trans, so...it could be worse. I don't think it was immediately obvious she was mixed race.

I hope they shake things up next series, this one hasn't been fun.

Riverlee · 24/03/2023 21:07

They need more varied tasks rather than design/advert/sell.etc.

Limesodaandice · 25/03/2023 14:32

Just to add that I also didn’t know Rochelle was mixed race until she mentioned being a woman of colour.

Rosula · 27/03/2023 00:33

It's amazing how SurAlun spends the entire series telling the candidates they're all utterly incompetent, yet when they make it to the finals they suddenly become brilliant business whizzkids in his eyes.

Very true! 😂 He was so much less harsh in the finale boardroom scene than I've ever seen him. Same goes for Karren lol

JemimaTab · 27/03/2023 03:23

The business plans were just so disappointing and showed no imagination IMO. I just don’t see how investing in hair salons is ever going to be up Sugar’s street. Shouldn’t they be offering something more original or ahead of the trend? The sweets thing - it’s already being done, the market is saturated. Ditto the dessert shops. Maybe if someone had come along 10-15 years ago, when dessert shops weren’t really a thing, but now there are several chains doing this and you’d just be entering an already crowded market offering nothing particularly different. I didn’t even understand the hair extensions idea. And TBH I’m not convinced by the gyms either but that was what was left after the other ideas had been dismissed.
I do think it needs a radical re-think for the next series. And please let’s see some serious women next time.

KrasiTime · 27/03/2023 08:04

Loved the way they were all laughing together in the boardroom. Showed a bond there that we don’t always see.

When does Alan Sugar see the business plans? Who decides on the candidates initially? They need better business plans from the start & Id bet that is nothing to do with Alan Sugar.

OccasionalHope · 31/03/2023 12:15

Sian, winner 2018,’s business has gone into administration

OnTheBoardwalk · 10/04/2023 09:52

Anyone just seen Baroness Brady on Sky News say 'you can call me Karren' when called Baroness!

on a separate but related note I’m spending today eating chocolate and binge watching the second season of The Apprentice Australia celebrity I’ve just found

Ellmau · 19/04/2023 23:48

I am also watching the Australian Celeb Apprentice. The contestants are nicer than last year when at least two of them were utterly vile, but less memorable.

I felt this week's task (the wellness campsite) was really unfair. The team with the terrible accommodation was set up to fail, and it wasn't their fault they didn't get the good stuff. It was pretty random who got there first - not like the tasks where they have to negotiate for a desirable option.

The only way the women could have won was if the men had had a disaster. What they did was basically irrelevant. That's not fair.
