Jerry Sadowitz cabbage. Only sold in Booths and Waitrose.

I'm surprised the Chinese banquet is this high given they hated the noodles and cabbage

littlbrowndog · 29/03/2023 20:55

I know how did she get 4th ?

Bagzzz · 29/03/2023 20:55

Sunbird24 · 29/03/2023 20:47

It’s not great if you have to get all the other chefs to do half your dish

I think you can have a great restaurant dish from a chef. However “banquet worthy” needs sous chefs.

How can offensive cabbage be doing so well compared to a dish with criticism of just too restauranty

Wolfcub · 29/03/2023 20:56

Yeeeeeesssss

littlbrowndog · 29/03/2023 20:57

Tom I knew it

we didn’t like the pie dish

we wanted picnic

jay55 · 29/03/2023 20:57

Wooohooo for Tom.

EsmaCannonball · 29/03/2023 20:58

Tom's my favourite but I do actually feel a bit sorry for Adam. He's consistently stronger than most of the chefs but is always just pipped.

Am feeling a little sorry for Adam. Only a little, though.

Bananaman v Banksy for desert?

littlbrowndog · 29/03/2023 20:59

I thought the pie that was done years ago was a true cow pie

littlbrowndog · 29/03/2023 20:59

Banks y my favourite for pud

EsmaCannonball · 29/03/2023 21:01

Bananaman vs. Banksy vs. The BFG. (IMO, the BFG dish looked beautiful and imaginative but the food connection to the brief wasn't great.)

I can Adam getting the consolation canapé slot at the end of the week

elgreco · 29/03/2023 22:11

Poor Adam

2023usernameNew · 30/03/2023 09:20

That was intense!

I love Tom, I saw a couple of interactions with the girls and he seems a genuinely nice guy.

would be amazing for him to get the desert dish too, but I think it’ll be the Banksy one.

I also loved Lenny as a guest judge, he was so enthusiastic.

finally, like we’ve discussed, the way the show works has left so many good cooks behind in favour of other not so great ones and I feel it doesn’t do the worse ones any favours because poor Mark has come last twice (I can’t remember his desert) and I feel it gets a bit humiliating and it also reduces the pool of outstanding competing dishes.

looking forward to tonight’s.

Twazique · 30/03/2023 10:23

I think Adam should have got the fish course.

Now we have Indian (I think?) followed by Thai followed by Pie. I think Adam's salmon dish would have made a better transition.

jay55 · 30/03/2023 14:18

I'm hoping Gemma wins dessert, she's upped her game in most courses and the bfg pud was gorgeous looking.

elgreco · 30/03/2023 19:46

Lenny did make a good guest, he ate everything with enthusiasm and chatted easily.

EsmaCannonball · 30/03/2023 19:56

Yes, Lenny was a good guest; liked his food and a strong enough personality to have his own opinions.

I'm just going to say I really hate the computer generated paddington

BiliousOhGod · 30/03/2023 20:05

I just want to say that Andi gives me hope that women in their 50s can wear sparkly eyeshadow. And wear it fabulously. I love her eye makeup...

EsmaCannonball · 30/03/2023 20:05

I'd forgotten how many good puddings there were.

And why does everyone in peppa pig look like a 1960s hairdryer

EsmaCannonball · 30/03/2023 20:07

Morwenna Banks. Stoneybridge! I loved Stoneybridge's bid for the Olympics.
