I thought this too. It’s more “art” than illustration/animation really. I suppose because he was referencing the work that was shredded at the auction, you might argue that it’s animation of a kind, but that’s a real stretch IMO.
Also, it’s clear that everyone else seems to have interpreted the theme as specifically children’s animation/illustration (because of the Paddington reference I suppose).
But TBH I always find the ”brief” on this show to be a bit artificial and often forced. I’d prefer it if the brief was more explicitly food-related e.g. a seasonal theme, or sustainability, or historical/forgotten ingredients, something like that.
