Which Tom went through? Cow pie?

Yes

There have been some absolutely shocking regions this year. I wonder if it’s economic conditions forcing better chefs to stay in restaurants rather than taking time out for the show. It’s a real shame for people who have gone out with high scores and people are going through with 7s and 8s. The brief seems to have been a real challenge for people this year which is odd given it’s so wide ranging (and virtually every region seems to have a connection with The Wombles and/or Paddington).

Agree about the disparity between regions.

But often if someone can't make final week they bring in the highest scoring loser which sort of makes thing fair.

It's on tonight at 9. Just to confuse us all.

TFMinx · 27/03/2023 19:26

What?! Thanks for the heads up @jay55

Sunbird24 · 27/03/2023 19:55

I’m exhausted, might have to watch from bed and catch up another day if I accidentally nod off

Wolfcub · 27/03/2023 21:02

Evening all

EsmaCannonball · 27/03/2023 21:04

I'm tired and I'm having to eat the chocolate I bought someone for Easter to get me through this.

The best of the best ..... Well, about three of them are.

This is going to be the battle of the mushrooms. Basically if it isn't mushroom it'll win

EsmaCannonball · 27/03/2023 21:07

Hang on, Tom had to recuse himself from judging his strawberry blond employee in the heats. But is he judging him in the finals?

Another great dress on Andi, I love the colour, would never be brave enough myself.

EsmaCannonball · 27/03/2023 21:14

I like mushrooms, but even I'm fecking sick of them already.

It's making me want a Fry's Turkish Delight (which I also like). Actually make that three of them. They've gone very small these days.

This was my favourite book as a child

jay55 · 27/03/2023 21:17

Big pile of brown. So appetising 🤮

Wolfcub · 27/03/2023 21:18

I wonder if this is why veggie/vegan food in so many restaurants is dull - because we can't imagine building a dish around anything other than a mushroom. Beige and more beige

EsmaCannonball · 27/03/2023 21:18

Things you would find in a forest. Doggers. Just stick the mushrooms in some greenery with the stalks poking out.

BiliousOhGod · 27/03/2023 21:19

Maybe he's allowed as there's so many chefs, so little chance of any favouritism? And possibly because after the first 4 or 5, all those mushrooms are going to taste the same.....

BiliousOhGod · 27/03/2023 21:21

Lol at Doggers. Maybe someone should try a tree with dog poo bags tied to it....

Wolfcub · 27/03/2023 21:22

I still cannot get over blue potato

jay55 · 27/03/2023 21:25

I feel bad for the guest judge getting the starter round.

EsmaCannonball · 27/03/2023 21:25

The scrambled snake one was fun.

Did he say oat yogurt or goat yogurt because one of those wouldn't be vegan

jay55 · 27/03/2023 21:28

This is the best starter. Purely for not being a pile of brown.

I think it's oat. Unless it's yogurt for goats.

I'm hoping Kulvinder is a vegan, or at least a vegetarian.
