Fantastic from everyone tonight except Amy, Charles, Naomi and Alex. I'm actually hoping Alex gets it on with Naomi and takes her off our screens.

Matty had his breasts removed but believe he doesn't have a penis yet.

PrincessScarlett · 03/03/2023 20:12

Kyle is old enough to decide where he lives. He's said several times now "when am I going home" so it's obvious he wants to be with Cain. He absolutely adores his dad. As do we all!

The excellence of Paddy’s storyline really highlighted the crappiness of anything involving Charles and his family. Dawn tells him that Alex is her ex and the father of her kids and he responds “Sounds like there’s some history there”. No fucking shit mate!

Needed a bit of Patrick ( from EE)
talking to him then .
Love Patrick .

Love Paddy more ❤️❤️

bizzey · 04/03/2023 01:09

Emmerdale do hard hitting storylines very well .

bizzey · 04/03/2023 01:10

The masking / hiding thing .

PrincessScarlett · 04/03/2023 07:39

You can tell Emmerdale have really done their homework. The whole 'not today' thing was very true and devastatingly so. They haven't saved Paddy yet 🙁

BooseysMom · 04/03/2023 15:08

Yes, he has to take one day at a time..that's what my counselling DM told me and I'm still here, just!

Paddy & Marlon though...omg I had tissues everywhere. I know how Pads feels. Bless him, it's so overwhelming and all the worried people actually don't help. But what can they do but worry? Awful for everyone.

lollipoprainbow · 04/03/2023 15:31

Emmerdale have excelled themselves with this storyline, brilliantly done all round.

PrincessScarlett · 04/03/2023 17:24

Sorry you've been struggling too @BooseysMom 💐

Sorry you've been struggling too @BooseysMom 💐

Ah, thank you. Things are alot better now but the storyline brought back old feelings. Yes they have certainly handled the story brilliantly welllollipoprainbow

CoffeeLover90 · 04/03/2023 20:29

@BooseysMom i dont mean to assume anything however, if you feel like it's ever too much to watch, post on here and I'd be happy to post an update on storylines for you. That goes for anyone actually. I appreciate it can be triggering for people who might not want to also miss out. Really glad to hear things are looking up for you. If you feel down, remember what pulled you up,

CoffeeLover90 · 04/03/2023 20:33

I'm disgusted poor paddy has just been left without any kind of professional support but at the same time that situation is all too real. Pleased they're taking a real life approach with this one and not just rushing it. Hopefully, anything his friends and family may do could give people ideas on how to support those around them. Him and Marlon broke my heart but at the same time I wanted to applaud the acting.

PrincessScarlett · 05/03/2023 08:36

I think the trouble is @CoffeeLover90 is that the reality is the NHS is in an awful situation and there is no help for mental illnesses. I've been aware from here that there is a huge waiting list for children trying to seek help through CAHMS and having watched various documentaries on mental health struggles and eating disorders it is shocking that many people struggling never access the help they need before it's too late because of the woeful lack of funding. Liam recommending they go private to access the help they need for Paddy is the painful reality for many people.

CoffeeLover90 · 05/03/2023 09:14

@PrincessScarlett true. 11 months ago I was told there's a wait list of up to one year for counselling, luckily I got private health care through work but not every one has the option. We just can't go on like this. We all know that paddys situation is real life for some people and I think the way they've done this is great, but upsetting.

Snozzlemaid · 05/03/2023 10:26

It was the same 30 years ago unfortunately.
My dad had a failed attempt at taking his life and was let out of hospital the next day with no professional support or help.
He then succeeded the following day.

PrincessScarlett · 05/03/2023 11:11

Yes @CoffeeLover90 that's what makes Paddy's story even more upsetting as there is no professional help readily available both for Paddy and in real life. I can't imagine what it's like for friends and family, it must be so stressful every single day.

strugglingwithlife · 05/03/2023 14:23

I'm so sorry about your dad @Snozzlemaid 😞❤️

CoffeeLover90 · 05/03/2023 16:00

@Snozzlemaid I'm so sorry to hear that. Flowers
There is also the 'man up' mentality which is just awful. We're all human beings. For that reason, I'm glad they've chosen a male character.
Over a dozen young men in my area, who I grew with, went to school with have died by suicide. You never would have thought that to look at them or speak with them, that it was even on their mind.

strugglingwithlife · 05/03/2023 17:56

That's awful @CoffeeLover90 😞

CoffeeLover90 · 05/03/2023 19:10

It was, for those involved. I hadn't been close with them but I, obviously, felt for the families. They had no idea how they had been feeling. It did open up people's minds a lot over the years though, community pulling together type. I hope it's enough to save someone in need. That's how I'd like this story to go, although I appreciate it needs to go on a while. It's not a quick fix.

I'm back to hating nicola. I hated for years before and her dozey sister.

CuriousCatfish · 06/03/2023 19:56

Nicola has always had a nasty streak.

PrincessScarlett · 06/03/2023 19:57

NOOOOOO Cain! Kyle loves you more than he'll ever love Amy.

Nice to see a bit of Shadrach bashing again 🙄

And I see Carl is turning out to be just like Nicola.
