I think they only really softened Eric up after he married Val and discovered David. It’s strange to think that David was something of a villain in his early days too!

Poor old Belle really is a storyline-free zone these days, isn’t she? At one time she was getting all the dramatic plots. Now she just crops up in other people’s stories.

Another pretty boring episode.

As if Gabby and Nanny Nicky would be doing it on the living room couch when all and sundry - Caleb. Will, Dawn to name but a few, could appear.

Zzzzzzzz Laurel just happens to be walking past when Leyla attempts to kiss Jai (were they once an item? Everybody has been with everybody else at some time so it's hard to keep track).

I don't get this "30 years of friendship" thing with Eric and Sam. Apparently Sam was best man at one of Eric's wedding, but that has escaped me,
