I keep reading that Rafa is not saying yet if he will return at MC- which would be disappointing, though I can understand him not wanting to rush back if it risks the rest of the season.

It's starting to feel a lot more like the beginning of the end. (I know we've been saying that for years Grin).

Jane it will be like Deja Vu. When he returned to Monte Carlo last year- ( and lost to ADF)- it was all how rusty he was etc etc., because the big meanies didn't let him play in Aus/US etc.

Except he had played in the meantime- he played in Dubai- but he lost earlier than he wanted to there, so they glossed over that.

I doubt they will be making the same excuses for Rafa- they will just decide he's past it. Hmm

The problem he has, is now he is out of the top 10 (and dropping) Rafa will get a less favourable draw at RG. Still seeded, obviously, but outside the top 4/8 makes a difference.

He can still win from that position- Fed and Djok have both done it.

But a much bigger deal will be made of Rafa being 'outside' you can guarantee.

We have the lovely Robbie tonight. And that annoying shadow on half the court...

Jane I am in denial about it all and hoping Eurosport take up a lot of the clay court stuff at least (I must have watched them somewhere before Prime took over. They've only been doing it a few years, and I don't have Sky. Unless my memory is wonky, and never actually did watch. Grin

I am also worried about where the tennis is going - after some initial blips I now like the Prime coverage

That first US Open, Prime was dreadful wasn't it- so much so, Amazon blocked comments on it after the first day, there were so many complaints.
