I saw a bit of the women's match yesterday, big upset for Sorana Cirstea against Sabalenka! She played really well, although the commentary team kept banging on about her age, she's 32!. Martina was there discussing the match, I think she's had the all clear for her cancer? Was great to see her looking well.

Ice I saw the Sabalenka result, was a bit of shock one.

The commentators are such hypocrites over age- they wouldn't have dared mention age when Roger was playing - or Serena. But some players are fair game.

It's not like the top 10 women is full of teenagers either- over half are 25 and over- and Jabeur (28) Garcia (29) and Pegula (29) have only really become 'big' names in the last couple of years.

Surely by now they have figured out that players seem to be maturing later- and playing longer?!

I wish I'd heard Martina- she has had the all clear, which is brilliant news. I really hope she is at Wimbledon.

Didn’t stay up for the match last night, but it sounds like it was a bit of a demolition. Normally I’d find it a bit unfair that Sinner gets to play the semi with 24 hours extra rest but somehow it seems ok to level the playing field a bit. I do want Carlos to win though so he can retain the number 1 ranking.

I see that Wimbledon has agreed to let the Russians back in this year.
