I couldn't get Prime to play ball last night, but I score watched the second set of the Danill match ( was a bit tougher than I thought it would be) -and I agree that Sinner is just lacking the stamina and killer instinct that will get him over the next hurdle to the big titles. He falls apart a little when he seems to be making a break through.

Carlos might not be number 1 for very long- unless he retains his Miami title/does well there, due to the amount of points at stake.

It's the only draw back to Djok not having been able to play a number of events.

Was very pleased to see that Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova won another title. I'm a big fan of Barbora- very underrated but she's the racking up the doubles titles and hasn't been doing too badly in singles either.

That is a great picture Jane. I like Catherine. She really doesn't take herself too seriously. It's a shame she is probably tied to other channels, because she would be a breath of fresh air on Wimbledon.

I feel like I have got loads to do, but I can;t be bothered. So i'm watching 'Brief Encounter' and feeling really sluggish, in the same way I did about halfway through the first lockdown in 2020 . I've just been for a walk to the shops as well, so it's not like I'e not been out.

i didn't get to watch the men's (or most of the women's, though I was able to score watch more of that) due to my family having other ideas- and then I fell asleep. Annoyingly, I was awake, as usual at 2am .

I really will be glad when day time tennis starts (Will make the most of being able to watch some of it on Prime this year).

Carlos seems to be warming up nicely, so should be ready to defend his title in Miami. His injury worries seem to be behind him, for the moment at least. And back to number 1 , which is nice.

I think Daniil should be very happy with his recent run of form though.

I didn’t manage to watch either final, bit surprised by the score line on the men’s side. I did think Carlos would win but thought Daniil would run him closer. I do enjoy his comments, he’s hilarious. Really hope Carlos can defend Miami and retain his ranking, don’t want he-who-can’t-be-named to get a look in.
