Hopefully Lola didn’t die on her wedding night

she needs to meet her mum first

hoping lily will change her mind again and not have this baby. She’s too young to ruin her life

she’s 12 and should be treated as a child not given choices that will effect the rest of her life

zac has hiv which we know means Whitney won’t have an easy pregnancy /birth

Give the girl a break

will there be a 3 way with mum and daughter Chelsea and Ravi

will Sonja get together with reiss who looks sexy when shaved /hair and no glasses - we are a fickle lot !!!

anything else I’ve missed

Maybe I'm being thick, but why would Ravi blackmail Denise? Like, what would he have to gain?

Bunionbabe · 25/02/2023 08:34

Perhaps the writers want us to get lost down a rabbit hole of red herrings (sorry about the mixed metaphors) to keep everyone hooked in case viewing numbers are dropping? Nine months of whodunits, for an EE pregnancy/affair style big Xmas reveal.

If Ravi is up to something illegal and Jack is onto him, maybe he will use Denise as leverage to get Jack off his back? Kind of like, if D doesn't get Jack to drop the case, he will tell him about their affair?!?

In fact I think the writers are running out of ideas and haven't decided yet who dunnit. So they watch this site and will pick one of the theories posted here then use that. We could then sue them for breach of intellectual copyright. Brilliant!

the80sweregreat · 25/02/2023 09:27

Take some screen shots bunion babe of our theories ! Lol
Bound to be a clause where you can't breach intellectual copyright for a fictional drama on an anonymous forum though .. 😂
Maybe plagerism? ( is that the same thing ? ) mumsnet takes the writers to court!! That might make the daily Mail massive

Bunionbabe · 25/02/2023 09:37

Well plagiarism is passing others work off as your own and is legally fraud, so that's about right. Imagine us on the front page of the DM. Gotta start planning my outfit.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 25/02/2023 09:40

@Bunionbabe Gotta start planning my outfit.

Get your priorities right - you have to get in front of the mirror to practice your sat compo face!

the80sweregreat · 25/02/2023 09:40

Bunion , get your outfit ready and your 'daily Mail ' sad face of doom'
Maybe wear a colour the same as one of those six women in the promo for flash forwards EE ! .. lol

But he did turn her down when she was drunk and wanted a quick fumble in the loos .
I'd like to think it's because he didn't want to shag a drunk woman ( seriously Denice last time you did that you ended up with Phil Mitchell !) who could not consent .
But most likely he didn;t have his blackmail kit (camera) set up .

Also notice in the hotel he didn't push her onto the bed while they were kissing . He was in the bed , pulled back the sheet and invited her in. On camera she'll be shown to be going there of her own accord ..

when she came out the loo and he was lying like a sleazeball in bed propped up on his elbow, it gave me the major ick - I'd have walked out there and then

the80sweregreat · 25/02/2023 10:43

He ( Ravi ) is a bit of a whizz with tech and set up Suki , although Kheerat ended up getting the blame there. He was also seeing the lady GP , his dads partner Nina, but she has disappeared ( he thought of him as a dad until discovering Nish was , anyway at that time ) so we know he is keen on people that are already married or in committed relationships. He had Nugget very young too, we haven't met his mum unless she died.
He may well have taped this liaison, but only up to the point she's in bed with him.

TakeTheStingOut · 25/02/2023 10:51

This is going to be a long year! They dragged ‘Who shot Phil?’ on for so long I can’t actually remember who shot him. Had lost the will to live by then!

the80sweregreat · 25/02/2023 10:56

Jack is a
bent copper , although that hasn't stopped them taking him back. The reason his daughter Penny is disabled is because of something he did prior to appearing on the square and she ended up in a wheelchair. I remember Dee saying something about Penny once, but not sure

Maybe Ravi has something to do with that story line about Jack's past or something else he did back then? He was always dodgy apparently
Makes me laugh on EE how they go on about family and how Sharon wanted to be in Jada and her grandchild's life, but since Christmas Day and a brief appearance , she never mentions them.

the80sweregreat · 25/02/2023 11:03

Lisa Shaw shot Phil ! That was a good story , but like the Lucy one and this one, it did drag on and many suspects , red herrings.

Twonewcats · 25/02/2023 11:11

same with who killed Lucy - and the writers definitely went for the most convoluted conclusion to that one, and proably the least likely one that was being discussed online

the80sweregreat · 25/02/2023 11:19

With Lucy Beale they did a flash back episode
That had Denise at the helm too. She was Ian's ex.

SoupDragon · 25/02/2023 11:35

both Lucy and Who Shot Phil were slightly different in that in this case we've seen the immediate aftermath already which narrows down the "suspects". With Lucy you saw that she was dead but none of the immediate aftermath so it could have been anyone. This is an interesting way of doing it!

Pretty much - it was his favourite food as a child or all he would eat.

Ah, makes sense!

I've just re-watched the flashforward scene from Monday (yeah, I know, bit sad to do on a Saturday).

Chris Clenshaw, exec. producer, said it pays to examine all the small details for clues.

So a few things I've noticed:

  • Is a roaring log fire usually lit? I suppose not, from a health and safety point of view/ too many punters etc.
  • On the wall to the right of buffet table, there's a framed collection of wine/beer labels. One with lettering far bigger and clearer than the rest of them says 'PINK'.
Linda is wearing pink. Her cut lip indicates an injury.
Maybe the broken bottle Denise was holding had been pink champagne.
(okay, I'll admit that is extremely tenuous!)
Neither L or D may be directly responsible for Amber Cufflinks's death, - but may have played a significant part in lead-up to it.
  • Sharon does have blood on her wedding dress, but only a small amount. Don't think it's hers, as not spreading. Also, it's not spattered anywhere else on a white dress, as would happen if she'd been near someone else getting injured etc., or tending to someone.
  • We assumed Kathy looked at Suki, when she sat down in shock. But perhaps Kathy was looking at someone slightly past her. Because...
  • ...on announcing "He's dead", the scene ends with Sharon definitely looking towards the Vic's door, as if informing someone else. You'd surely turn round out of instinct and tell the group of women that?

Probably nothing meaningful in any of those details, but worth adding to our list anyway!

I still can't see Lola's pic

I still can't see Lola's pic

It's right at the very end of the "panning across the bar'" shot and is only briefly visible on the bar. It took me ages to spot it! A proper standing up photo frame.

I had wondered if the wedding was Linda's because all the decor was pink, but I hadn't noticed the word until now.
And then Linda came in less formally dressed than anyone else, so it's doubtful! :D

ALSO, I've said it already, but I think Stacey has "blood on her hands" in the metaphorical sense...
