Because its jack he is an arsehole and was probably reacting badly but they were checking that Ricky didn't force lilly into anything.

but yes, Jack was acting like an arsehole. Ricky is 3 months/one school year younger than Lily.

This keeps confusing me - they keep saying that he will be declared dead in 4 (?) months, and she will sell then.

BUT I HAVE QUESTIONS!
1 - if his wife CAUSED his death, would she really be allowed to profit at all from him dying?
2 - why does Linda have a say in who buys it?
3 - why was there a panicked rush for Sharon to get the funds, given that it isn't even for sale yet?!

I did look up a generic website last year for missing peoples affairs and it wasn't made that clear tbh or what happens if they can't find a body , but you think they might be dead.
I would imagine you'd need a solicitor first to clear a lot of it up. I thought it was seven years.
Janine has time to sort it out whilst in prison , people can sort out things like that in there , but it won't be straightforwards

Not keen on Ravi really , I like his accent and I can see the appeal , but his too full on and would only like the glamours types anyway, he can afford to be choosy.

Jack did say he was going away to a conference, D asked if was just an excuse for a piss-up and he said no it was going to be very dull (and then I zoned out cos, Jack, obviously!)

I too am completely baffled about the legalities of missing presumed dead and selling Mick/Janines share of the vic. Also in 'the big episode' when Suki and Nish came to 'av a word wiv' Linda - they both took off their coats and hung them up on the coat pegs in the vic before speaking to her, I assumed from that, that they'd somehow managed to buy it from under her or something and were about to chuck her out but that wasn't the case, so why the odd hanging up of coats thing? Confused

I loved the ceremonial presentation of Bernie's apron in the caff very sweet!

They never say ' let's just see our lawyers ' do they ? I know his got Eve on his payroll, but she isn't a lawyer on every subject to do with property and shares and missing men and women doing it all from the local Nick is she ?
Surely they would need specialist help there ? Esp Linda !
