Tales of an average Northern working class street that’s home to three widows of serial killers, including one whose brother is also a serial killer.

Part two of four

Thanks Jane.

Yes it is all too much. I missed thebit when Daisy went to the carpark because i was putting the kettle on. Too many massive grim storylines become weirdly boring.

They always claim these plots are about raising awareness

Then we have Daisy being the have a go hero confronting an acid attacker

I seriously would not recommend that and doubt the police do either

Getupat8amnow · 27/03/2023 21:26

Also I heard the current producer on Loose Women talking about the character Damion. He seemed so pleased with the character. I wanted to tell him that no one is interested in this character, the audience is sick of drugs related storylines. Give Leanne and Nick a break. Gentle storylines for them for a while building their family with Sam not being in the middle of a drugs storyline (yawn). New characters should be introduced slowly and their part built up as they are seen interacting with established characters not thrust into major storylines. Also changing personality traits of established characters to fit a storyline is terrible and unrealistic, it turns the audience off. I hope someone on the Coronation Street staff read this thread and takes note of what they see here from posters.

Honeyroar · 27/03/2023 21:27

And yet another “major event” is over and done with in one episode. That’s another thing that bugs me. (apart from Ryan, who will be operated on and back to normal in two episodes- and back with Alya, no doubt!)

TellingBone · 27/03/2023 21:27

I get the impression this is all about highlighting the stalking issue in order to obtain a change in the law - something I imagine a lot of us would support. Very hard-hitting.

StubbleAndSqueak · 27/03/2023 21:28

And ontop of Daisy being stalked and left alone, who leaves a pub with no staff with all that booze and free access to their living quarters and the cellars ? Insurance anyone
It's just nonsense

lollipoprainbow · 27/03/2023 21:28

Sad about Paul he's one of the better characters.

zanahoria · 27/03/2023 21:53

I thought the stuff about the curse and the comedy cake mix up was a really poor taste way to build up to an acid attack

mattyd · 27/03/2023 21:55

I read spoilers, which is why I didn't watch tonight's episode. I wasn't aware that the Paul storyline had been revealed in real time Corrie.

JMSA · 27/03/2023 21:58

Poor, poor Ryan Sad

Honeyroar · 27/03/2023 21:59

Did they reveal a Paul storyline? Other than the debt? I didn’t even watch properly tonight, it all annoyed me so much. Apart from Jenny’s outfit - that was gorgeous!

MuddledMindy · 27/03/2023 22:07

When I read the spoiler I honestly thought it would be a scare and that he threw it at her but it was water. Poor Ryan Sad
On a positive note, Jenny looked gorgeous

Ellenanora7 · 27/03/2023 22:07

I'm interested to know how they'll move forward with this story, as far as I remember they handle it brilliantly in Emmerdale, but not sure Corrie can do that.

I'm also still wondering if anyone rang Michelle to tell her what happened 🤔

GrandTheftWalrus · 27/03/2023 22:12

I didn't see that coming. I thought they were gonna let daisy get the full brunt then deal with it that way. Well that's the way the spoilers let it seem.

Clawdy · 27/03/2023 22:17

The Paul medical storyline hasn't been revealed tonight, though?

GrandTheftWalrus · 27/03/2023 22:20

Not that I seen, just watched on catch up. Only seen it online etc

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 27/03/2023 22:50

Well, I didn’t see that coming. Poor Ryan!

The screaming was horribly realistic. Normally it never feels quite real when they try to portray such extreme pain, but it was very, very real tonight. When Abi found Daisy in shock, that felt very genuine too. Top marks to Charlotte Jordan and Ryan Prescott.

I just wish they hadn’t gone for the big confrontation scene though. I know it was more dramatic than Daisy just running back in and altering the police, but Justin could have easily had more acid, or a weapon of some kind. Incredibly dangerous.

On a lighter note, wasn’t Sarah’s dress a bit much? Black strapless at a wedding? She would definitely be “that guest” in an MN thread!

GrandTheftWalrus · 27/03/2023 23:04

I never even noticed Sarah's dress tbh. I am just wondering when her and Adam got back together.

I'm not a religious viewer clearly lol.

zanahoria · 27/03/2023 23:07

I wondered what happened to Alya's boyfriend and how she has managed to get so attached to Ryan to merit bursting onto the hospital demanding to see him.

Deadringer · 27/03/2023 23:14

Sarah's dress was actually green, though it looked black at first, it was very 'eveningy' though. I think Aaron is lining Abi up as his next victim.

Yes, didn’t Ayla start dating one of Speed Dahl’s suppliers? He suddenly just stopped being mentioned.

Who's Aaron?
