Tales of an average Northern working class street that’s home to three widows of serial killers, including one whose brother is also a serial killer.

My head hurts reading this. I didnt watch this for years, only started again during covid so half the backstories of these characters are new to me.

But it is fine as I think the scriptwriters have forgotten Harry exists.

Absolutely

The way Sarah swans around after work and never hurries home to be with him or collect him from nursery or childminder

Thisisthewaywe · 21/03/2023 19:59

He’s seven - he’s the same age as my friends DC. He’d be in Year 2 if he hadn’t vanished without anybody noticing!

So does Shona's son - the bloke who killed Max's mum + count as his brother?

It’s a good job Max doesn’t know his mum killed his dad. Imagine explaining that to the prison psychologist… “Yeah, my dad knocked up my stepdad’s sister but then tried to kill her, so my mum bashed him over the head and then she and my dad buried him under the floor in the garage. So now my half-brother’s also kind of my
cousin? And we thought my half-sister might actually be my sort of cousin too, because my mum slept with my
stepdad brother and wasn’t sure who the father was.

”Anyway, no one ever found out that my mum killed my dad because my aunt’s gay ex-boyfriend, who was the father of her second child, pinned it on his half-brother’s dead father - that’s his half-brother who also married my aunt after she split up with him. Then someone stabbed my mum to death, and my dad married the murderer’s mother. Then someone bashed her over the head and she forgot who we all were, but she’s sort
of okay but a bit tactless now.”

No wonder he’s warped.

NCTDN · 21/03/2023 22:06

After reading your brilliant summary @WomanStanleyWoman2 put me in mind of this if you are of a certain vintage!

Coronation Street - NO SPOILERS! Extremists have got inside Max’s head; Fiz and Tyrone have troubles in bed; one whack with a hole punch and BAM! - Teddy’s dead
LadyVictoriaSponge · 21/03/2023 22:38

I’m watching classic Corrie at the minute and Gail and the brilliant Richard Hillman have just got married! The difference in the quality of the storyline and acting in comparison to the Stephen rubbish is stark, Brian Capron was truly menacing, no comedy hole punches for him.

A few months ago she wanting a baby with Adam IIRC.
She seems to have forgotten her other two children exist.

Thisisthewaywe · 22/03/2023 20:10

I’m really disliking Evelyn in this episode.

AutumnCrow · 22/03/2023 20:37

Oh poor Cerberus and Evelyn. Brought a tear.

Yiayoula · 22/03/2023 20:38

Same here, AutumnCrow.

dottyshihtzu · 22/03/2023 20:39

Cerberus is a cracking actor!

familyissues12345 · 22/03/2023 20:42

How could they kill off Cerberus Sad

What a star🌟🌟🌟

I was sobbing and I'm much more of a cat person.

Thisisthewaywe · 22/03/2023 20:10

I’m really disliking Evelyn in this episode.

She’s hurting and lashing out. And in denial. I’ve seen a few animal owners react like this. I thought she was going to insist he went home at one point.

Made me cry tonight, I’ve lost two wonderful dogs and a horse in recent years, too close to the bone for me.😢😢

Pseudonamed · 22/03/2023 20:52

Thats the best actor on the street gone :(

cheeseisthebest · 22/03/2023 20:53

How did Roy realise the dog had eaten an Eccles cake?

Thisisthewaywe · 22/03/2023 20:57

@Honeyroar it was more at the beginning of the episode, she was so acerbic to Tyrone and to Asha. Corrie do sometimes do this with grieving people, just seem to make them so unlikeable!

Honeyroar · 22/03/2023 21:00

cheeseisthebest · 22/03/2023 20:53

How did Roy realise the dog had eaten an Eccles cake?

And if he’d seen it, why didn’t he say anything?? He obviously knew they were bad for dogs because he guessed why the dog was ill.

On a different subject, Ryan’s new lady (who has appeared out of nowhere!)!looks just like Daisy!

eggandonion · 22/03/2023 21:05

Im devastated. Cerebrus was so stately.

Pseudonamed · 22/03/2023 21:06

Im seeing a farewell to Ryan coming up. He will be off to Ibeefa with his new scouser woman to play the decks in her club.

Honeyroar · 22/03/2023 21:11

I thought he was on the verge of getting back with Alya? Why build that up and then have him trot off with someone else??

Pseudonamed · 22/03/2023 21:13

I assume so we can see her whinge that she should have taken him back when she had the option. I think he said she friendzoned him?

Where does he live actually?
