Tallboy's nose annoys me. It kinda just snivels all on its own.
I find I get quite fixated by people's facial features. Toyah's mouth used to dominate the screen for me!

I'm probably going to get ripped apart for this, but surely if they were both equally as drunk as each other, they both came on to each other, then they BOTH raped each other? Why do we never hear of women being charged for taking advantage of drunk men??? I'm a woman myself but I still don't think it's fair that in specific cases where the circumstances are as I described above - both very drunk, both come on to each other - that it's automatically the man who should be prosecuted???

I've always liked Shona's face - it's been said before on these threads that along with her voice she has a look of Elsie Tanner about her.

I think it’s because a man can’t be passive in the same way a woman can, @SchoolTripDrama .

I think she'd kind of passed out drunk, in which case he was definitely in the wrong to carry on, even if she'd been up for it earlier.

However if we didn't know that as the viewer, the fact she can't remember doesn't mean it was rape. Its been shown you can be drunk, to the point you have memory blanks but still able to make your own decisions at the time.
And people vary in how drunk they need to be to have memory blanks.

But we did see she'd fallen asleep/passed out, so we know he raped her.

I think the fact that her knickers were thrown to the other side of the room is significant..

But I can't explain why ..

If she passed out as depicted then yes, it looks like rape.
So why did he say that she participated and pulled him onto her and took his top off? Was he talking about earlier in the evening?

He would have had to remove them for her, which shows that he was more lucid than her.

They were in the bedroom together snogging and pulling at each others clothes etc and then she said she felt nauseous or something and the last we see is her with her eyes closed lying down and him pulling off her knickers.

Like PPs I feel my time with Corrie is coming to an end. It‘a such a shame - I’ve loved it for decades and I’ve persevered throughout ridiculous storylines / personality changes / tedious characters / impossible bedroom and resident ratios - all for those rare moments of brilliance. But the balance has now tipped over, it’s just not worth it anymore. Me and Corrie are consciously uncoupling. ☹️

Did we really see him pull off her knickers? I didn't think we did.

Amy went into the room, fell over and maybe banged her head on an open drawer .

He helped her onto the bed and she said she felt sick and rolled over .

Then the knickers were shown been dropped on the floor.

But I could be completely wrong as usual !

Amy appeared to pass out and then we saw her knickers drop on the floor. So ots implied that Aaron removed them.

I wonder if the storyline will be that Amy will try and forget it happened to protect Summer's feelings. Then eventually she'll break and accuse him of rape. He'll claim she didn't say no/led him on. She'll (rightly) say that lack of the word "no" doesn't mean "yes" and that she was so drunk/passed out that she couldn't consent anyway.

A very realistic storyline imo.

Oh good points actually. I thought Amy moved over to lay in front of him and then he had his hand on her thigh and then we see the knickers being thrown in the corner. My perception was he did it but thats just perception. Hmmm.

It is interesting that people commenting saw the same scenes but can't really remember exactly what they saw. It must be really difficult to take something like this to court and to be cross examined.
People on Coronation Street often seem to have clear memories return though after trauma.

The scene is on YouTube. They kiss, he takes her top off and then she turns away to fall asleep. You don't see much else.....thankfully.

She definitely wasn't enthusiastically consenting.

She also said she felt sick and he said something like “that’s not what a guy wants to her” the she lay down facing away from him and definitely looked passed out. He was kissing her, shoulder? and she wasn’t reacting at all anymore.
I haven’t rewatched it though so could be wrong but that’s what I remember.

I don't think a secret assignation in the bistro is a good idea.
Or having a secret visit from Miley.
Secrets need a bit more thinking through.

Tim's actions re Miley were ridiculous and irresponsible. The writers have a lot of scope with this one though so should be interesting viewing.

I thought Miley was a good little actress. Faye’s ex looked twenty years older!

For once, some really good acting - Beth's scene in the bistro, giggling and excited. Not an easy scene to do without going over the top, which she didn't.

Beth's friend Marco is looking dodgy and he managed to get her sozzled so this storyline will be yet another in the neverending attempt by the writers to not let a single character have an ordinary life.

Craig will need to be careful. Jackson is a fine looking lad. And isn't a comedy policeman.
