Who will be victorious?

OP posts:

This was the best possible outcome. Okay it wasn't survival of the smartest but the final three seem like innocently lovely human beings. I feel a bit sad for Wilf. I think he deserved some of the money for playing the game so well.

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 22/12/2022 22:11

I don't think Wilf had a choice did he on recruiting a final traitor? I'm sure he was told he had to recruit someone.

DashingWhiteSergeant · 22/12/2022 22:11

I think Keiran played it right. Everyone is allowed to say why they voted. He simply called it a parting gift.

MAJOR PLOT HOLE ALERT!!!

did they know Claudia picked three on night one? If so, logically there was always another traitor, as they had only found two pre Kieran. And he wasn’t in on night one.

ThatshallotBaby · 22/12/2022 22:12

Yes he did. He got to choose who

Novemberhater · 22/12/2022 22:12

I think Wilf was very gracious when he lost. It was a huge amount of money. Perhaps he should have recruited a weaker person like Meryl to join him as a traitor as I believe she wouldn't have behaved as Kieran did.

LipsSoScarlet · 22/12/2022 22:12

He definitely had to recruit someone this time around. Or at least offer them the option - Keiran could have chosen murder instead. I don’t think anyone would have expected Kieran to be such a loose canon though! I thought he was a good choice to recruit as he seemed quite level-headed as a faithful.

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 22/12/2022 22:12

They didn't know how many traitors there were at the start.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 22/12/2022 22:13

Kieran only threw Wilf under the bus because he knew Wilf had been lying and scheming about him behind his back. If Wilf hadn’t done that and the others had still chosen to vote of Kieran I don’t think he would have done that but I think he felt like if Wilf was going to be sneaky he would be sneaky back.

Nice but dim rather than survival of the thickest for me.

They ultimately wanted to see the best in someone that they had become friends with.

I think there is a lot to be said for honest people with a good heart rather than those who are utterly ruthless getting the money at the end of how things panned out.

Reckon Kieran did exactly the right thing, he knew Wilf was a snake and wanted the others to have the money, fair play

He did the only thing he could. He knew they were all going to vote for him at the round table and that couldn't change. All he could do was throw some clues. He did, and even Hannah got it despite her devotion to Wilf.

That was amazing. Baddies out, hoisted by their own petards. Kieran wouldn't have turned on Wilf if Wilf hadn't turned on him. So they brought each other down...perfect. And then a redeemed and happy Wilf. That was beautiful.

I know it'll all have been edited to prime us for this, but that was just amazing.

Could they do this again in a second series? Make it that good?

EdieLedwell · 22/12/2022 22:14

Keiran completely changed when he became a traitor. Wilf had the advantage of playing the game from the start

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 22/12/2022 22:14

Doesn't feel like it's in the spirit of the game though to out another traitor when you have been banished?

FluffyYucca · 22/12/2022 22:15

It would have been interesting to see how the voting to end the game would have gone if a Faithful had been banished at the round table rather than Kieran. Would Wilf & Kieran have voted to end the game, or to continue until the first one of them was out?

EdieLedwell · 22/12/2022 22:16

Exactly. He said as much. Turn on me and I'll turn on you

Womencanlift · 22/12/2022 22:16

Kieran ruined it. He knew he was about to be shafted so basically said it’s Wilf too. Definitely not in the spirit of the game

Saying that Wilf ruined it for himself with his hissy fit

But most importantly I am so glad it was those three and not Maddy. She was the worst in the series for me

I didn't think he was gracious at all, he was just trying to redeem himself in their eyes. A few seconds earlier he'd been almost hysterical at the thought they might vote him out. He was desperate to get that money for himself. I'd been supporting him up until then, but all that bollocks at the end was just more lies as far as I could see.

Agree.

Aaron wasn't bright but he was likeable and he did earn a lot of the money for the group. I'm not sure if Kieran saying 'parting gift' is actually fair or not but then it adds to the game, a traitor betraying a traitor. Wills own fault for hiring him to throw him under the bus. He finally met his match.

Wilf telling everyone he was so happy and so glad he didn't win was utter bull 😂. Who is he kidding?!

Anyone else feel like Kieran has been part of some underground gang or something, he behaves so dodgy, even with his twitches, neck cracks etc.

grievinggirlneedsadvice · 22/12/2022 22:17

PRosie · 22/12/2022 22:06

I'm annoyed that Kerian was 'allowed' to say those things! Disappointed in that part.

Completely agree.
Really felt like it ruined the game

ReneBumsWombats · 22/12/2022 22:18

I know they're allowed to lie, but I really didn't like Wilf saying he'd swear on anyone's life that he was a Faithful.

Lentilweaver · 22/12/2022 22:18

Feeling sorry for Wilf now. Which I never thought I would.

greenerfingers · 22/12/2022 22:19

And Will had another chance, he could have really played dumb and said Kieran was just salty that Wilf had discovered him and lied to get revenge on being found out. He should have calmly got Meryll on side and worked his way through but he panicked and made it too obvious with the sudden behaviour change.

EdieLedwell · 22/12/2022 22:19

Tbf to Aaron he raised a good chunk of that money.

Delighted for him.

Meryl is just really lucky her team mates had the critical thinking skills right at the end, because she was way too trusting.

Penguinsaregreat · 22/12/2022 22:19

Kieran did to a Wilf what Wilf did to both Alyssa and Amanda. Kieran actually said that in his chats to camera. I think if he had been given any sort of choice he might not have converted to being a traitor. They all said he changed and acted differently.I’m no Kieran fan at all but fair play to him for trying his best to warm the others. He had the right to defend himself just as the others have and if that means throwing someone else under the bus then that’s what he did.

ButtonSister · 22/12/2022 22:19

Wilf might have stayed in the game if his reaction to K's parting shot hadn't been so over the top.

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/12/2022 22:19

I was worried Meryl was going to vote for Aaron!
