Gareth did Dancing on Ice a few years ago, which still seems to be a hard bar to doing Strictly

Aw shame, was hoping he'd dance to Bowie (one for all the Charlie Brooker fans, who pointed out that the start of Let's Dance sounds like Les Dennis so I cannot unhear it now! ).
He'd be a reasonable signing, can have a laugh at himself (Extras) as long as he could cope with the Strictly vs X factor/ex factor (Amanda Holden) inevitable non-story.

Oh no I applied for tickets for Strictly and got tickets for the recording of the pro dances but didn't check the dates and it's when we're on holiday 😞. Unfortunately the tickets are non-transferable.
I will let them know so someone else will get them but I'm totally gutted 😭🤦‍♀️

Excited! Had an email inviting me to the pro dancer pre-record in a couple of weeks. Been applying for tickets for years. Would of course have liked live show tickets, but this is definitely better than nothing.

The One Show is revealing the first 3 celebrities tonight!

Does that mean if no email has been sent you have been unlucky with the tickets? My first time applying.

Afraid so. The odds of getting a ticket if you apply are tiny - I've applied for every single show in the last 5 years and never got one. The pro dance recordings are slightly less oversubscribed because they're not the main show, and they're midweek but they're still a lotttery.

I knew it was a very long shot. I was just unsure of the timings. Well done to all who have tickets- I hope you have a fabulous time.
