I didn’t really take to Fleur when she competed last year so I am a bit disappointed by this announcement, but I’ll wait to see how she does. I didn’t like Rylan before he did ITT and he was brilliant.

I don't have much memory of Fleur last year, mostly because I found her quite dull. It would have been better if they'd gone for a known superfan type.

I liked Fleur - she was keen, a very good dancer, enthusiastic without being annoyingly OTT, and seemed quite real in her reactions by X Factor standards. She does a radio show so should be up to the technical challenges.

I love Fleur, and find her much more watchable than the “uncanny valley” Rylan.

I am glad for Fleur. I loved her last year and thought she or Helen should have won. Lots of charisma.

I'm a Fleur fan and think she will be great! She already has some experience presenting live TV and of course her radio show... I'm sure she's going to be more than up to the challenge.

It won't be long before the contestants are being announced, does anyone know who the strong rumours are this year?

I'd love Rylan but I don't think he'd do it now.

Schofe has been rumoured. Seriously.
I hope the BBC steer well clear.

Shakin Stevens is 75. With the best will in the world, I think his days of keeping up with a jive or salsa are long gone.😏

I know they've talked about a married couple competing (hence Matt and Emma?) - was the last one Kenny and Gabi? - and a celeb using a wheelchair.
Personally, I'd like to see Amanda Abbington AND her fiance, Jonathan Goodwin do it (retired escapologist, was paralysed after a stunt went wrong, is a really interesting and charismatic guy).

Jungle rehabilitation through eating trials for Schofe, methinks, even then...too soon, give it a few years.

Read that Janette wants to be back on ITT as soon as she can after the birth of her first baby. Genuinely hope that works out for her. Assume that Fleur and her will take turns to present? I had long thought she had hoped to co-present with Aljaz one day, but he doesn't seem to have done much I've seen, was cut from Matilda, they did the tour together, perhaps he'll be SAHD when she goes back or they both do columns (although I think that's Ola and James's gig still).

As much as I'm love Aliazj as a pro, I'd not be a fan of him on ITT as his gushiness is just too much for me!

I'd quite like Ola and James Jordan to do it as they have personality but think they're too outspoken to get that kind of gig.

I'm sure I'm an interview Matt Willis said that Emma would never let him do Strictly, or maybe it was Emma herself saying she wouldn't let him. Might have been jokingly, but I'm not sure they'll be signing up. Although maybe if they did it together..
