WRT fleur east Preston's ITT. I hope it doesn't become the fleur east show. I thing she'll have a good report with the celebs. But not sure about the dancers especially the newer ones. That's what Janette was good at bringing them out out of their shells.

I think the Kemps have repeatedly declined. They could recycle This ole house, aye, last used for Kev and Susan's jive. I have a soft spot for Shaky, since I saw him play himself as a tribute Shaky , cannot remember the show alas, but thought it showed self-deprecating humour. Not afraid to take the piss out of himself.

Celebs on Strictly never dance to their own songs. DOI, yes, but unless I've forgotten a random counter example it never happens on SCD.

Saw Dara O'Briain live tonight - apparently he'd really like to do it, but due to a dodgy knee he can't. But still uses the threat of it as a bargaining chip over his teenage daughter. 😆

Fair enough to Dara. We've seen a lot of celebs struggle through with injuries after the first few weeks and it looks like hell.

Ms Rippon will join BBC presenter Angela Scanlon, actor Nigel Harman and former Love Island contestant Zara McDermott on this year's series.

Not officially announced - reported by Mail - but if true, will be oldest contestant ever albeit with dancing experience.

Long-time lurker on the Strictly threads and SCD superfan (I've never missed an episode!) .

I went to see Kevin in Strictly Ballroom yesterday and have to say we were very disappointed. Kevin was great, although his singing wasn't amazing, but Craig's directon was dire - so much exposition practically in the wings and just generally a bit rubbish.

We hadn't paid too much for the tickets thank goodness - would have felt v ripped off if we had.
I definitely wouldn't recommend it and I really wanted to love it!

Exciting news in my email inbox.

The draw is now open for tickets for the Launch Show and also pro dance pre-records. Which means that the countdown to Strictly Season is officially started.

Also, at long last the BBC have listened to the fans' pleas and changed the ticketing system. This year, if you have a ticket, then you will get a seat! No more arriving at 3am for the queue and hanging around Elstree all day.

So if you live in Dundee or Devon or Dolgellau and you've never bothered applying for tickets because of the difficulties of queuing and the expense of travelling when you might not even get in, then this year it's worth a shot.
