I will be so annoyed if Maddy wins. I can't think who I'd want to take the money, maybe Aaron (although he seems too naive to figure the traitors). Kieran winning would be quite a shame as he missed a fair bit at the start and then jumped in and got an easy(ier) ride. Wilf's snakiness and tears have put me right off. Andrea has never been right about the traitors or had the right line of thinking, she kind of just stays in because no one has it in them to accuse her/it wasn't right to murder her. Don't really feel anything toward Hannah or Merrill

Adeckofcards · 21/12/2022 00:09

Oh I just knew Wilf would do that. He wants the money so badly that he was always going to try to be the last traitor standing. He’s just as desperate to show that he isn’t really awful and voted for Amanda because he didn’t trust her. He was projecting how he thinks himself onto her. I think less of him for pretending he didn’t choose to banish Amanda because he wanted to win so I’m glad he has to choose someone else so he still might have to split the money if he gets through. He chose strategically and imo a clever choice.

I too would prefer Wilf was out and Amanda remained. She was an excellent contestant and likeable.

Dotellhimpike · 20/12/2022 22:58

I've grown to love Wilf, he is top traitor material and he deserves to win. In short, you're all wrong, I'm right and let's hear no more about it.

I agree, it would have been boring without Wilf turning on the other traitors

As Claudia says "what's the show called?"

StaunchMomma · 21/12/2022 00:28

I can't help but think Amanda would still be there if she hadn't voted for Theo.

That's what put her on the radar for the faithful and probably what tipped Wilf over to thinking he couldn't trust her.

I do hope Wilf can win on his own, now. Or not, if Kieran takes the offer!

greenerfingers · 20/12/2022 22:36

He didn't have a choice this time.

I am sick to death (like everyone else here) of Wilfs tears!! Whoever said he's a gaslighter called it perfectly. Amanda put herself on the line to save him being kicked out and he just did the perfect traitor move. Amanda was ruthless but at least she owned it. Glad he couldn't even look her in the eye though the rat! Bet Theo is probably sipping a cocktail somewhere watching Amanda's demise Grin

Oh I think so!

I'm sad Amanda is gone but she slipped up. I don't understand why people hate Wilf for doing exactly what he's supposed to do!

Exactly! They all applied for the show and it was luck of the draw who got chosen! Will is playing the game just as much as the faithfuls are to win for themselves too!

BoreOfWhabylon · 21/12/2022 02:11

Now Amanda's gone I really really want Andrea to win, but that's not going to happen. Anyone would be preferable to Wilf though, except possibly Merryl.

I've binged the Australian series but I much prefer the UK one. More atmospheric. And Claudia is infinitely better than the Australian presenter.

greenerfingers · 21/12/2022 05:49

@AssumingDirectControl Grin perfect Theo response.

KatieKat88 · 21/12/2022 06:08

I think Will is genuinely finding it hard and is getting quite paranoid - he saw that Amanda had made herself vulnerable with voting for Theo and was worried that she'd turn on him to deflect from herself. He's playing the game well - I'd have no issues with him winning. As PP and Claudia said - it's called the Traitors! That was a cracking episode last night. Claudia is perfect for this role too. My favourite show of the year by far!

JustDanceAddict · 21/12/2022 07:24

I’m also rooting for Wilf now. It’s what the game is about, winning, it’s not about making friends although I’m sure it’s an added bonus. Look how Amanda manipulated Aaron and Fay and threw Theo under the bus, no way is she a ‘goodie’ Wilf is just better at the game, so good luck to him. He’s eminently watchable.

EdieLedwell · 21/12/2022 07:36

Not gonna lie, Ive watched the last part of
Last nights episode three times.

When Amanda reveals herself as a traitor,
It's just unbelievable tv. Talk about gripping!

Gatehouse77 · 21/12/2022 07:37

I think Wilf is playing a blinder. Amanda screwed up with Theo and, as a traitor playing a game, had to get rid of her.

I’m really enjoying watching it and think Claudia is her usual brilliant self balancing humour, assertiveness and compassion.

MajesticWhine · 21/12/2022 07:40

I would also be glad for Wilf to win. I find him a bit complicated and not as likeable as Amanda but he has played the game well and he would be a worthy winner.

malificent7 · 21/12/2022 07:47

Wilf to win....I am so amused as out of all of them, he has visibly squirmed the most. The conflict and torture is plain to see...yet only Maddy suspects him!!

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 07:52

I should root for Wilf because you can't deny he's played well, and yet I just don't like him. Antiheros are difficult.

I want Kieran to take him down.

happinessischocolate · 21/12/2022 08:42

I'm surprised people are criticising Wilf for crying and saying it's not genuine. Surely the one thing this programme should teach us is that you can't tell when someone is lying, or when they're genuinely upset, everyone seems to behave the same when accused whether they're guilty or not.

Kieran was nearly crying when he voted for Amanda, he's barely been there 5 minutes, wasn't close to her and seems quite a level headed guy, so it's hardly surprising that Wilf gets so upset.

Penguinsaregreat · 21/12/2022 08:44

Yes I also want Kieron to take Wilf down. I don’t want Kieron to win but I’d prefer him to win than snakey Wilf. And yes I know it’s a game.
Ideally I’d like Andrea to win but I doubt she will survive.

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 08:46

I think the problem is that because Wilf hasn't shown any loyalty to anyone, I'm seeing him as a villain rather than an antihero. I suppose you could say he's showing loyalty to his family, but they all want to win the money, and if it was based solely on worthy causes, Nicky seems the most deserving so far. Yes, he has a partner and kids...so have I. So have loads of people.

I could root for an antihero under the right circumstances but it's hard to root for a villain. Not impossible, but I just can't warm to him. Might be the editing...Maddy said he was funny but he hasn't made me laugh once. She's funnier than he is. He turned against the antiheroine I did like!

So yes, what I want is for Kieran to take him down. That would be satisfying.

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 09:04

Also, I can forgive them for taking down Alyssa because she was playing badly and was a liability, plus he was in a genuine her-or-him situation. But he took down Amanda not because she was a threat or a liability, but because he assumed she was completely self serving and untrustworthy because he is. He basically projected himself on her and gunned for it.

It makes it hard to root for him.

Come on, Kieran...

RedToothBrush · 21/12/2022 09:45

Amanda was incredibly cold and not trustworthy and manipulative. She was utterly ruthless. Like she was required to be.

Yet the Amanda supporters are berating Wilf for not being trustworthy and manipulative too!

Its bizarre.

I have to say, I've found the faithful to be very innocent and a bit wet and frankly dim this series. Next series it will be a lot more ruthless and I think their will be a lot more tactical play from the faithful.

Tbh the only faithful I've seen express anything tactical has been Keiran last nice, when he talked about block voting.

Figgygal · 21/12/2022 09:50

Oh wilf what a shit I want him to get found out now

I said kieran the minute the offer was made noone will suspect him particularly if he's recruited and There is a murder.

CharityShopChic · 21/12/2022 10:02

How have I only just noticed the portrait of Claudia in the breakfast room??

The Traitors Part 2
Time40 · 21/12/2022 10:03

Amanda's gone!!! Nooooo! I really, really wanted her to win.

I've just watched the first five minutes of the Australian version, and it's amazing how similar in style it is to the British one - a big old house, similar music, the same style of filming, even the gold masks.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 21/12/2022 10:14

I loved it! I will miss Amanda, thankfully only for a couple of nights though. Wilf, Wilf, Wilf... I hope he isn't getting too much hate on social media. They've all agreed to play a game of betrayal.

I think now I want to see the Faithful win, only because it means more of them get a share of the winnings (I can't see two Traitors making it to the end). I'd like to see Aaron and Andrea take away some money.

Is there any hint of a reunion programme? With some footage of them finding out who the traitors are. And some footage of what people were saying behind your back (in a humorous edit, not a horrible way). That'd be a great Christmas treat.
