I have just discovered Christmas is only 19 days away and I have done nothing to prepare so I might be a gibbering wreck by then.

I like Sagar but how come in the first round tonight he didn’t get pulled up for cooking a selection of dishes rather than one proper dish.

The only posh tasting menu I've ever had was at his place Frog in Hoxton Square. Lovely experience.
I've just Googled and he's now moved to Covent Garden and is WAAAAAY more expensive.

But, it was nice as a one off special treat

I think they should get the chefs to choose one item for them to taste. Recently on GBBO Sandro did an extra to what was asked and it wasn't tasted.

Im not sure who I want to win. I really like Nikita so she would be my favourite but I was impressed with Charlie. Not only did he do all the things he wanted to do for his dish but he helped out with the others too. He has interesting takes on flavours as well.
Sagar seems to do well but when he pushed himself he gave them dry chicken.
I really like James and how positive he is, but I'm not sure he will win it.

Slightly off topic but I really liked the wine glasses they had on the tables at The Lanesborough. Did anyone recognise them?

@Paddingtonthebear no, but I did think ooh they are pretty when they showed them. They have an Instagram so I shall have a look later & see if there is anything on there

nothing irritates my husband more than when we’re watching an intense scene on a show and I go ‘I love that lamp’.

Husband was like “they are just plain champagne flutes”. No, not those, the wine glasses with the pattern on them 🙄

I've done some miss Marple-ing and I think they might be these from Royal Scot Crystal. The photo is a still from Masterchef and it looks like fuchsia etched on the glasses?

Good sleuthing there @MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake ! It does look very much like that's them. They seem to only use them in their private dining rooms from looking at their website and Instagram. In the 'normal' dining areas they have very plain glasses ware
