Ah but to be fair OldHeadChelsea had a fling with Jack and Denice married him.

So "sharing" blokes is a road they've already travelled along .

(Jack had a fling with Roxy -resulting in Amy- and married Ronnie , they like to recycle ) !

the80sweregreat · 18/01/2023 13:55

Yes, I agree it's a recycled story !
Same with Carol Branning / Bianca and that creepy man they both dated once too. Although that was a bit different to this.
Dee will sleep with Ravi I'm sure
Chelsea will find them together , at some stage after falling for his muscles
:(
Whitney hasn't any blood relations on
The square apart from Lily , so it was nice seeing her with her new family for the scan and Sonia too. Short lived happiness I guess , until Zac fesses up !!

This may have already been said, but I’m hopeful they don’t kill him off with HIV/AIDS related disease and instead use the more common experiences - that you can live it, low viral loads etc. It would be a good comparison to show how far it has come since Mark in the 90s.

the80sweregreat · 20/01/2023 16:47

This story line might stop all the bed hopping !
Although with Ravi / Denise / Chelsea triangle in the offing , then maybe it won't !

That wallet looked in good condition!
Especially the photos

Patsy Kensitt is coming in as Lola's Mum. I like her. Apparently filming started in November and she has a long term contract.

the80sweregreat · 21/01/2023 13:02

I like Patsy Kensit too
She was good in Emmerdale , apparently! I don't watch that
Once Lola dies, maybe she'll be around for Lexi or rent one of Jack's flats ?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/01/2023 18:46

Ohh Patsy Kensit wasn't just good in Emmerdale , she was epic Grin

She landed in the middle of a King Family Party in a helicopter no less .
Charity Dingle was engaged to Tom King (Jimmy's Dad) wearing a very straight long but quite lowcut red dress . She teetered alongside Sadie King (Kensit's character) in her heels ,
Sadie handed Charity her coat and said that her attire wasn;t suitable for Staff .
The King sons ( Jimmy , Matthew, Carl and Max though not sure if Max was still there , he got killed early on) were grinning ear to ear . Party because they loved seeing Charity put back in her box , partly because they fancied her , Matthew and Sadie had "history" .

Unfortunately , she got together with Cain at the end (silly woman) and that was her downfall , lots of plotting and revenge but she was ostricised by the Kings .

If she's going to stay in The Square (long cntract) and Denice is going to have a fling with Ravi then I predict Jake will be giving Lola's Mum more than a rental flat !

gingercat02 · 21/01/2023 18:54

Maybe Ian will come back he loves a blonde! Mind you Jack is a good shout too (Ronnie Roxy and Sam 👱‍♀️👱‍♀️👱‍♀️)

the80sweregreat · 21/01/2023 21:05

Blimey! If Patsy can make Lola's mum as good as Sadie King, we are in for a treat

I've seen this Emma ( Patsy ) today
Gosh, she's had a lot of work done
Bit wooden , but it was only brief!
She looks a Jack type ..

In real life she's been married four times ! So she'll fit in well with the good people of EE

I couldn’t take her scene’s seriously when I watched the episode this morning.

I doubt they go through with Lily keeping her baby, it would send the wrong message.

the80sweregreat · 25/01/2023 17:11

Patsy is 54. She looks good , but it's obvious a lot of it isn't natural.
She seemed to have a good job, but I bet that goes tits up and she ends up running Peggy's or something similar !

Bloody hell just seen that Whitney's baby will be diagnosed with Edwards syndrome - she can't catch a break can she?!

the80sweregreat · 27/01/2023 14:38

Poor Whitney ;(

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 27/01/2023 14:42

I must admit I've just had to look it up ( although I've heard the name before, but not what it is actually is )
The images were so sad to see , especially the deformed ears. Plus the babies do not live for very long either.

OP posts:
nancy75 · 27/01/2023 14:56

I hope they treat the Whitney story line sensitively. My mum had a baby born with Edwards syndrome, she died a few hours after birth. It is a terrible condition and no more than 5% of babies born with it live to their first birthday.
The doctors class it as incompatible with life. My mum was only 22 when it happened, when I had my daughter I had extra tests to check for it.

the80sweregreat · 27/01/2023 15:12

I'm sorry Nancy :(
That must have been so hard fir your mum.
Would they advise Whitney to have a termination? Or she is too far gone now ?
I googled and some do live beyond one , but it is rare.
Must be so hard.

OP posts:
nancy75 · 27/01/2023 16:38

She won’t be too far gone, I think they look for it at the first scan (the one where they looks for downs)
I really hope they don’t go down the route of a couple of weeks in scbu & miraculous recovery, because that really isn’t the reality for those poor babies

the80sweregreat · 27/01/2023 16:40

Would they advise a termination ?
