I don't think it would affect the unborn baby , but I'm really not 100 percent sure :(

I hope it's a positive storyline about it as with new medicines etc it is something that can you can live with and not the death sentence it was on the 80s

But hopefully it addresses Zacks antics of sleeping around knowing he had it. Unless the story is him being told and he didn't previously know? But I the new character has him worried which would suggest he's concerned about his dark secret coming out!

I had a feeling Zac got HIV from sharing needles because as others have said, he’s not the type to shag other men (although sometimes you never know 😉). The EE writers are usually good with issues based stories so I’m sure this will be handled sensitively and it’s a first for EE. A character in Hollyoaks has HIV but they haven’t developed that story well.

Zac is a self confessed player, he most likely contracted HIV from sleeping with a woman. He doesn't need to have had sex with a man or shared needles!
Treatment now means that for many with HIV the virus is undetectable and untransmissible.
My friend is HIV positive and has had 4 children naturally- she was advised against breastfeeding but all her children and her husband are fine.

No, he doesn’t need to but reading between the lines in tonight’s episode, which I watched this morning, they’re going down the sharing needles transmission story.

I bought a TV guide for next week ( what's on tv mag)
In the ' coming up ' column for the week after next , it said ' the Slaters find out who the father is of Lily's baby'
Was a bit intriguing, unless it means Martin and the other men and family find out it's Ricky junior ! Or is it someone else entirely ? ...

Thursday's one was a bit dull , but I did notice Lily smiling a lot at Harvey's news about moving in with them all to help with the extra rent
Makes me think he isn't involved at all with her storyline !

I cannot remember if Nish said it was a 4 bedroom or 5 bedroom house (when he said rent it to a family you get one rent , rent it to single people you get 4/5 lots of rent ) don;t know if it's registered as an HMO so might only be suitable for a family .

Jean has the downstairs dining room as hers , not sure if there's enough space for another adult .
Then there's Stacey, Eve, Lily, Arthur, Hope .
Do they have the garage atttached (green door) That would've been demolished and a double storey extension put in before you could blink (if this was real ) Wink

Eastenders was the first soap to do it back in the late 80s, early 90s with Mark Fowler.

When the guy told him to get tested, the reason he said he needed to be tested was because they shared needles, so that's already been stated.

I didn’t know you could get HIV results so quickly these days. I doubt Zac and Whitney’s baby will have HIV, that would be too dark even for EE!

The nurse didn't show any emotion at all when he mentioned an unborn child did she ?

Not read anything about it yet but I think we’re heading for a story where Ravi is sleeping with both Denise and Chelsea.
