It’s an absolutely beautiful house.

Willmafrockfit · 22/11/2022 08:43

mh did apologise about the rice

we only see what the cameras want us to see in a short evneing programme filled with adverts.
no doubt they have the winner planned already!

Willmafrockfit · 22/11/2022 08:44

but BG does have a beautiful house,
with that amazing kitcen with a huge, i think, opening to the garden.

does he have a partner?
is he happy?

ancientgran · 22/11/2022 08:46

RosettaStormer · 22/11/2022 08:39

Not really. When people are that hungry fry and he burns the rice because he can’t be bothered to pay attention, it’s not enough to make a feeble excuse. He doesn’t appear to have any domestic skills at all. Burns rice, can’t clean up after himself. Lies around sleeping. He either has a load of domestic staff or a miserable ex partner. I wonder if the wonderful Gina realises what a diamond he is domestically?

He did all the cooking on the beach though and that seemed to go down well.

True. Maybe he’s one of those men who only barbecues and does nothing else?

Willmafrockfit · 22/11/2022 08:50

yup,
i guess being an PM is a pretty full on job

anyone, i am sure he isnt the first to let the rice run dry!

Willmafrockfit · 22/11/2022 08:51

i wonder how BG would manage, or MT?

burnoutbabe · 22/11/2022 09:22

How would any of us manage to cook weird stuff mostly on our own on a camp fire with no timers etc.

It's not the easiest of jobs is it? Aren't we due for another leader change now in camp and change of jobs?

ancientgran · 22/11/2022 09:24

Yes it is weird how some men only seem able to cook on a barbecue. Having said that cooking over an open fire in the open air is a bit barbecue isn't it.

I did think it was weird to pick him for 3 jobs and if he's a bad cook then MT and SC didn't choose well.

I've thought that, I've been chief cook and bottle washer for many years (DH is disabled) and I wouldn't want to be cooking the stuff they get over an open fire. Particularly hard when you know everyone is hungry and if you make a mistake it is serious.

MarshaMelrose · 22/11/2022 09:29

I hate cooking rice - mine nearly always catches. I can watch it like a hawk, turn away for 10 seconds and it's burnt. How does that happen? I buy bags now.

I expect they are given instructions/guidelines on how long to cook it for etc. We just will never see it.

@Tescoheslth Hello from just down the road 😁

I’ve never been to champneys.

I’ve not been anywhere posh to be fair.

i don’t tend to enter the competitions though

Hello!!!

I've only ever been there once and it was years ago, it was a bit grotty. Doubtless had a massive overhaul since and the surroundings are lovely but I'd far rather be out in the surroundings than in some spa place tbh!

XanaduKira · 21/11/2022 22:56

I didn't mind Sue & think she was genuinely delighted to leave.

Gutted there is only one female left though, they definitely need to have 50/50 male/female from the start though.

Scarlette was my winner so I'm not sure who I want to win now - probably either Baba, Owen or BG. I really want MH out next though.

I was gutted Scarlette left - I really liked her

For anyone confused about the tight pants:

Ah so that's what it was. I would not have had a clue!!

I think Babba would be great in the star waterfall thing they do at the final, reckon he would be hilarious.

I'm not sure he could do that as he can't swim and it's quite a big water pool at the bottom of it!

Yeah, I think they might now be starting to get their heads round how valuable Charlene was in that respect!

This is the most MN post ever. From someone burning rice to LTB in a few easy steps Grin

PicturesOfDogs · 22/11/2022 10:33

As camp leader though, why would you choose MH as cook, when you think he’s not up to it?

Surely you’d choose the best person for the job, in order to best benefit the whole camp?
Rather than use your power to ‘punish’ someone who you think is lazy/shit/whatever.

I just think it’s a bit ironic, considering MT was sitting bitching about the Conservative party to Shaun about their leadership voting to prove a point, and punishing/not thinking of the country.

But he’s done the SAME thing (albeit on a much smaller scale obviously). Set him up to fail, and make everyone lose out on food so him and Sue can sit bitching.

Absolute hypocrite

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 22/11/2022 10:38

Ugh I hate this attitude.

What do you expect him to do? Turn back time? Self flagellate? Sometimes an apology is all that can be done

Aquarius1234 · 22/11/2022 10:54

MH is so boring. He was forced to do all the trials 1st week and then shoved down are throats with 90% air time. Take that away, hes dull.

Aquarius1234 · 22/11/2022 10:55

forgetting the fact hes a conversative MP who makes mistakes,

ArcaneWireless · 22/11/2022 11:03

We all make mistakes.

If you haven’t then get yourself on Britain’s Got Talent because that is one fucking amazing talent to have.

And it’ll be the easiest £250k or whatever it is that you’ll ever make.

But if you want to list all your mistakes then I’ve got a spare couple of hours today to judge you on them.

ArcaneWireless · 22/11/2022 11:05

I’ll start.

Last night I made chips. Not potato ones. No par boiling required. Bessie’s finest. And two or three of them ‘caught’.

Shoot me now.
