Just a theory, in no way a spoiler - given that we’ve had a lot of mentions of her in the past few episodes, does anyone think Alina could be Mad Dog? Feeding info to the author?

Jenny, whose son Tom would be about 14 or 15 had he not drowned at age 4?

As soon as it was out of her mouth I looked up Corrie Wiki to check when Tom was born. Did it really occur to nobody in the writers' room? Or on set? Even the Jenny actress? Weird.

ThisIsJeopardy yes, I wondered about that too, I remembered she had lost a child. Very odd. You'd think any new writers would be given a potted history of any character they were writing about.

I am surprised that the actors don't intervene with their backstories. Kevin lost a baby, so did Todd...they forget a lot.

I feel sorry for Jodie Prenger. This should have been her big (well, bigger) break, and she's walked into a reet dysfunctional mess of a show.

My favourite imagined story in my head is one where Summer and Tears-For-Fears emigrate to New Zealand taking Alkie Dad and Billy with them. (Sorry, New Zealand.)

Michael Le Vell did speak up when Kevin was supposed to say to Jenny “I don’t know what it’s like to lose a child”, but apparently the writing team just ignored him 🙄

The thing is, it might have made a juicy story in the papers if they could have got a family member to do an “Exclusive tell-all” at the time… but 12 years on? Most people wouldn’t even remember his name now.

Yes he’s undercover cop his female boss shows up in random alleys and he’s on the phone to her a lo, I presume it’s so he can infiltrate the racist gang that are grooming Max.
i have a bad feeling about this storyline and they won’t do it properly
