I missed the end, my prime went off- and then I fell asleep Woke up to see the scores about 10 minures after it ended.

I thought Stef might lose it after the tight second set, so well done to him for sticking with it- I am actually surprised Daniil fell away so quickly in the tie break.

So, that group hinges on who wins between Stef and Andrey now, since Djok has qualified. It's all his to lose, really, isn't it, or it feels that way. And I feel like that's what all the commentators want -which is annoying.

I'm glad Tim is acknowledging that his year did start do well. I still think going to IW was a mistake, after playing so much at the start of the year - he would have avoided that injury and he could have played a full clay season.

Rafa last seemed this mentally dejected - as opposed to injured- in the period after losing to Stan in Australia 2014- and then although he won RG the next couple of years were not great- and he did end up ending 2016 early. He bounced back in 2017.
But he's not 29/30 anymore.

I'm kind of surprised he's even bothering now and not just staying home with the baby and taking trips on his yacht.

Jane to be honest, I sort of blame Roger. 20 years ago, with the injuries he's had, and the titles he has won- Rafa would have probably retired happily at 30.

But Roger kept sticking around and made it look possible to keep going forever. (even though he hasn't really played much for the last 2 and half years).

I don't want Rafa to be remembered for losing 3 matches in a row at the WTFS- because they aren't the be all and end all. I want him to retire and be remembered for 14 RG titles. And this hasn't been a bad year. It's a year 99% of players would kill for.

In a way, it's why i wonder why Murray is still playing. He has millions in the bank , 4 kids and has had a decent career. Why keep coming back to lose in the second round?
