I actually got to see a bit of tennis yesterday- Domi put up a bt of a fight against Daniil but it was always going to be Daniil's match. Stan is having a good week in Basel- plays RBA next. RBA had a good match yesterday, he will probably win their match, but it might be close.

Jane I was keeping an eye on the scores, and it was 2 close sets.

I have just seen the draw for Paris- bit tough for Rafa- who obviously has a bye in the first round- but could face RBA in the second. Or Tommy Paul (which on recent form, could be just as tough).

Is Vienna on Prime? Dan is playing Shaggy shortly.

jane yes, Vienna and Basel are both on Prime, at the same time. I keep trying to watch, but have been getting distracted by things.

I'm not sure why Prime are letting the tennis go- and it's frustrating Sky are getting the US Open, even if it's my least favourite slam. It's probably down to money- and maybe they they think audiences will fall off with the 'big' names starting to retire, and the younger players taking time to establish?

So, Felix has just beaten Carlos, and is through to the Basel final. Danill beat Grigor- Grigor has had a reasonably steady year, all things considered, he's had some ok results.

I've got Denis and Borna on but I'm not really concentrating.

Nice to see Holger looking so happy. His mother reminds me of the mother in I, Tonya!

For the person above who mentioned the Wimby ballot, if you are successful you get allocated a day and a court - you don't get to choose. It is strictly one pair of tickets per household, and if you turn down the ones offered you also can't buy any others that might come up in last minute sales. Now that tickets are electronic they can monitor it all very closely!
However, you can join The Queue as many days as you like 🙂

I am watchin the Rune/Felix match.
Looks like Daniil is going to win in Basel, after losing the first set to Denis.

I have realised that Rafa and Djok are both in the same half in Paris- which is never good. Although to be honest, best case scenario for Rafa at the moment is probably to get through the first match.

I agree about the backboard though. Not all players will 'tune it out'. it will affect some.
It's a shame Holger has blotted his week by being a bit sweary and cross though. He's had a good week otherwise.

I do like Felix, so many really good yound players coming through . They seem to have been around for ages though, some of them. But Felix is still only 22!

Bit annoying that those two finals clashed. I ended up watching mostly Vienna. Great win for Danil, and he dedicated it to his wife for giving birth to their daughter! Only caught the end of Felix’s match but after watching him trounce Carlos earlier in the week I’m not too surprised at the result.

The commentator yesterday described Holger as very childlike in his enthusiasm when he speaks which he is really. I like him because although he can go off on one he's so into his tennis.
