When Dkjok retires everyone will say the right things but not really mean it - he knows that he’s not loved and respected anywhere near as much as Roger and Rafa are (and Gilles!) and that annoys him

Carlos against Rune, which should be a fun one. Or a match too far for Rune- and Carlos may blast him off the court.

Then tonight Paul against Stef. Stef can be a bit hit and miss- especially when he goes in with an attitude where he thinks it's a straightforward match-and I get this feeling from Stef sometimes. Paul has nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

Yes some good tennis on today - not sure if I dare invoke the wrath of ‘D’H by putting it on! He was telling DS1 that he shouldn’t be downloading music while he was working .

It is odd with Stef- he's probably a bit frustrated- he's meant to be one of the 'heirs apparent' to the Big 3. He's been around ages but still younger thn players lke Tiafoe, or Fritz.

But it's not happening. Daniil and Carlos have got there first, with the slam wins. And these pesky youngsters are appearing from all over. Felix is getting better and better. Sinner is improvng. Rune has just risen hugely over the last 6 months.

And Carlos seems unstoppable.

At some point, Sascha will come back.

And Djok is still hanging around like a bad smell

Ths match is not as close as maybe I expected, but when Felix finds his A game he really is hard to beat. Carlos found that out last week.
