Alfie almost makes Mick tolerable in comparison. It must absolutely stink of testosterone on that set with both Shane and Danny thinking they are the king of Eastenders and all things Cockney.

Eve is very likeable and has depth to her character which is unusual in EE where they are pretty much one dimensional. They follow the same format - they either come in in pairs and one leaves and one stays or come in as a ‘bad’ character, have a storyline and become ordinary. The recent exceptions to this have been Mitch’s nephews - any reason they won’t stay? And Eve.

They are lacking older characters too.

Provided Eve never, ever tries to act drunk again she can stay. She has got better as she's settled into the square.

The Frankie actress ( Rose Ayling Ellis ) did leave ( to win Strictly come dancing last year ) but she came back a few months ago.
I like her character. Considering her mum was such a vile horrible woman , she is a sweetie and a positive addition to the Carter clan.
I noticed the photo Frankie took with Janine in the background was in shot in the Carter kitchen again the other day. This story with Janine and Linda has been rumbling on a while, I wonder how that will be tied up/ found out?

Yes, kudos to L for staying off the drinking after all she has been through. Phil was always the same too , they make it look easy to stay dry.

Both Phil and Linda have fallen off the wagon so at least they've not made it look like a total walk in the park. There hasn't been much struggle from Linda given she's working in a pub though.

I was convinced they were gearing up to finish off the Linda/Janine storyline. I hope they don't drag it out too much more.

I'd like them to stay. I quite liked Dana, but she was a bit under utilised, but I think a lot of actors use EE as a bit of a spring board to something else, so I guess it's a case of them being liked by fans and also willing to stay long term. I bet it can be gruelling as a cast member sometimes too, which might not be sustainable long term.

I didn't think it was possible, but Alfie has got even more annoying tonight!

Also, who thinks Janine might be pregnant?! The 'watching my weight' comment, then the twinge when she was speaking to Mick 😬
