I think we are supposed to find Alfie charming and hilarious. But he abandoned Kat AND his kids for years. The kids must barely recognise him. That’s hardly something you forgive is it. He then attempted to use coercive tactics on Kat before kidnapping her.
And somehow we are meant to think Kat is destined to be with this prince of a man?
The scriptwriters need to give their heads a wobble.

I imagine the cast are as irritated by the return of Shane Ritchie as we are by the return of Alfie. I was hoping Steve McFadden might get a chance to punch him. (There's still time).
