I heart Kevin McCloud.

OP posts:

I don't like the way it looks on the outside; well def not in the location - seems very mch out of place.

However I do like the interior. DD would love her own playroom like that, and I like the inside-outside room/cpurtyard too. Bedrooms are a reasonable size, esp for a modern place.

It's just in the wrong location!

expatinscotland · 16/01/2008 21:59

who is going to buy that ugmo house when they go to sell it?

especially surrounded by what it's surrounded with.

Olihan · 16/01/2008 21:59

OMG, mortgage free dream but 110-120k mortgage. That's HUGE! It's not a small pice to pay. @That's a 2 bed house round here.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 16/01/2008 21:59

kids in boden baggies noooooooo

EmMcK · 16/01/2008 21:59

I bet that cardboard playhouse in the children's cage is actually designer and cost more than my flat....

Heathcliffscathy · 16/01/2008 21:59

overuse of the word' space '

expatinscotland · 16/01/2008 22:01

she still needs stairgates.

well, that's one advantage to the period bungalow .

yogabird · 16/01/2008 22:01

kevin is still lovely though and speaking of which..in a completely different way so is jamie oliver yes???

expatinscotland · 16/01/2008 22:02

it's going to look dated in about 5 years, especially given the surroundings.

seriously, that one 1950s house and the other 1970s house stick out like bruised thumbs on our street.

Lauriefairycake · 16/01/2008 22:02

yes, keviee weviee is still lovely

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/01/2008 22:02

lol at 2 hours of slagging off property twats on mn

same time next week?!

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/01/2008 22:03

expat - used to live ona street of victorian semis - there was one 80s house built in a gap - it looked terrible.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2008 22:04

it just looks fug and when they tried to flog the 50s one it didn't sell even at reduced price and they took it off the market and now let it as holiday cottage.

Lauriefairycake · 16/01/2008 22:04

yes please

now going to watch Kind Jamie

(I deliberately ate my Lindt chocolate bell early so that i could watch the fatty programme without feeling guilty)

southeastastra · 16/01/2008 22:06

it looks nice, but also a bit like an updated 60s boxy house.

yogabird · 16/01/2008 22:07

no veg but 'i am the healthiest person i know' get some new friends!!

expatinscotland · 16/01/2008 22:07

it may look nice now, but trust me, when they go to sell it in 15 years after the kid leaves home, it'll look BAD.

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/01/2008 22:07

no, can't watch Jamie, not having that wally telling me what to eat

brimfull · 16/01/2008 22:07

when their children grow into teens they are so going to regret the open plan living crapola.

I was amused at the abundance of boden

Piffle · 16/01/2008 22:07

zoe is the woman who gets the boden catalogue and says one of everything thanks. No one else ever bought the Italian stallion shirt... But she bought one in every colour. Oh yeah the house is foul too

southeastastra · 16/01/2008 22:08

you couldn't have teenagers there, they'll sell before that, the bedrooms were tiny.

Olihan · 16/01/2008 22:08

I'll take Kev over Jamie any day.

There's something about Kev.....Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm .
