I guess Ruby's baby announcement won't be coming unless the character is coming back - given she sold everything I suppose the implication is she isn't returning any time soon. She split with Martin on bad terms so I doubt she'd tell him. I'm surprised there was never any mention of her sentencing or anything though.

i would have thought they are showing episodes now that were filmed when June Brown died so an announcement would come soon.

Doesn't EE have a habit of doing that? e.g. character leaves and then little or no news of them apart from e.g. with Vincent when there was a plot involving his demise... Slightly irritating.

I'm not sure she's lovely as such (not bad looking though!) and she's only 2 years younger than me and from quite near me too (Bromley!). She does have a slight 'Beckenham/Essex' look for those who know the area.

I actually prefer Original Head Sam as I think she's more true East End girl (from what I know of them!) with the accent/looks etc. Nu Head Sam (Kim Metcalf) from my knowledge of East End women is too posh for the part, too well spoken. Was she like that when she first joined? A bit sad because in the clip you can see Daniella is obviously going down the substance abuse route there.
