I like Faroqh despite myself; he's normally the sort of contestant I'd loathe.
Perhaps it's that I think a lot of his weirdness is "him" rather than an act to get him trending (University Challenge contestants have been dreadful for doing this recently). Probably because I couldn't begin to do the amount of work he does in the kitchen and keep up that amount of pretending.
What word was John going for when he told Faroqh he was being "salacious" when he talked about his octopus in a black hole? Facetious?

I really cannot warm to any of this years lot. I’m waiting until next week to remind myself of who got through to the semi finals though. Oh and I don’t believe for one second Radha only starting cooking in lockdown.

DH has just wondered whether John's going to complain about fruit juice or an inadequately reduced sauce "washing away flavour" again.
He hardly ever notices what's going on on MC (although "choomeric" upsets him badly), so John's obviously gone on enough about this phenomenon to impinge on him.
It does seem to be a new trope of JT's.

On the Greggg side, I haven't noticed him describing any as "deee-vyne" for a while.
Maybe "adorable" has taken its place.
Hmm... Not sure which will irritate me most.
