Just before I start there is a thread for watching at tv pace, this one may contain spolers.

So I’m on episode 4, wtf is actually going on?
She’s moved in with the dead (is she dead? Surely her nhs health records would have shown she was and so Sasha/Becky wouldn’t have been able to get her contraceptive injection?) husband, please can someone just pm me with how this all ends?!
I feel it’s going to be very uncomfortable viewing when it all inevitably unravels for her.

So end of episode 4 in the art gallery have they worked out who she is, as in she’s Chloe’s old clingon weird friend?
She’s sitting with livi’s husband saying she’s got to start over again and make new friends etc but I can’t work out if so why they haven’t all gone after her.

No they don't know who she is then. Josh overheard it all too didn't he but didn't say anything. I felt so sorry for her! She's a great actress isn't she!

What tipped her off to go to the hotel and look through the cctv? It’s all so tense!
Yes josh did see and sort of sidled off, I wonder if he will tell the rest of the group. It’s all so odd but watchable. Not sure id keep up with the random fragmented split personality story line if I was waiting a week between episodes! I’m struggling just watching them one after another!

I missed how and why she decided to go to the hotel. I think she had worked out there was something happening there on the night Chloe died. No I definitely wouldn't be able to keep up waiting a week between episodes

@whatsthestory123 the mum is now in a home so she’s getting round the clock care but she’s instructed the home to not let in the carer who was helping her while she was living at home still and made up a fake reason after she saw her rifling through her secret box of Chloe treasures that she (Becky) put there. Obviously didn’t feel she could take them to the widowed husband’s house!
Yes something must have happened that night that made her go to that hotel, that was the night she slept with josh and woke up to those phone calls from Chloe.
All very intriguing.

Okay, finished it.
Quite disappointed that there were absolutely no resolutions! Did he push her? I’m guessing so.
How did livia find her way to the caravan, she said the same was as she had, so checked the long haired guys recent destinations on his tablet/sat nav thing? Why was she even going there?
What was the whole point?!
Dunno, the whole thing just felt like a giant stretch (I know the rest of the episodes were also a bit of a leap!) but nothing tied itself up in the end and I’m very dissatisfied Grin

currently episode 5 and Elliot is behind something if not all here. Im beginning to think Becky works for the undercover police and its going to be revealed she solves the mystery!

Ahh, Yes, I liked episode 5, so much tension building up! Actually had to mute it at some points and put subtitles on so I wasn’t too scared Grin

From hints dropped it seems there's a massive chunk of back story missing. I'm guessing, as we didn't get told - did we? Did I miss it? - that Becky's little sister drowned when they shared a bath and she was blamed and sent to a psychiatric hospital of some kind where she and Chloe met. Chloe has a similar backstory involving child death/damage hence her secret contraception?. Liv said 'you babysat my child!' and wasn't happy. However, these are guesses and really, I dont know what happened in this tale. I think I'll have to watch then lot again, see if it hangs together better on a second showing.

How will she pay for her mums care? £5,000 won't last forever. Did her mum recognise her in the end when she said she's lovely? Who's paying the caravan site rent? Did Elliot Kill Chloe? Was he arrested? It feels like they've missed an episode.

Definitely feel like we had a few bits missing!

I think they said the girls met when Chloe had been sent to a shit school when her dad was made bankrupt.

For the hotel cc tv she'd just worked out where Chloe had been the night she called her I think, but VERY odd the coat and box were still there!

I just finished this and really enjoyed it.

I think Elliot probably did push Chloe and I liked the revelation that Chloe and Becky were real friends and that she may stay friends with Lucia etc but I find it odd that would be the case.

Josh was so kind to her.

Any recommendations for something similar please?

Yes I think Elliot did kill her.
I too found it weird that the coat and the box of money were still in the cloakroom.
I also don’t understand how she had died yet was still getting medical appointments etc coming through Confused - surely on the system it would come up that you were now deceased!
I thought first that the long haired guy (forgot his name) was paying the caravan rent or at least was in charge of it, but then he was skint wasn’t he, so perhaps not…
I don’t know, just so many loose threads still not tied up!
I don’t know what the plan for the mum was after the 5K ran out, it won’t last long with all those free scones!

I watched it all but still unclear on a few things.

I didn’t understand were Becky and Chloe genuinely friends at the end? There’s a scene where Chloe calls her and they drive off but wasn’t sure whether that was a dream sequence(was quite a few)?

And what actually did Chloe say in her final call to Becky?

I think Chloe never got through to Becky on the phone. As she was going through and working it all out, she was seeing different ways in which the phone call could have gone if she had answered. She envisioned Chloe being mean when she thought she was screwing up.

At the end, she believed that Chloe was trying to get hold of her for help and to escape and if she had of picked up, she would have gone to get her.

She worked out about the hotel through the tags on social media on the night she died.

Also thought Elliot killed her as he couldn't bear to be left.

I also wondered if contraceptive injection was done privately so they might not automatically be informed of her death??

I did enjoy it, looking for next binge watch!

I think... Becky never answered the phone to Chloe.

The phone call and scene of them reuniting at the end was daydreaming 'how it could have been if she'd answered the phone' and this daydream acts as closure for Becky.

That's my interpretation.

The thing is everything was in her head. Whether rightly or wrongly. She assumed Chloe was cheating on Elliot with the Long hair guy then the Asian guy. Assumed she was leaving him to live in a caravan. Everything was hypothetical. Just because she thinks she didn't kill her self and that Elliot did it doesn't mean much. She annoyed me so much in the end. Did she ever like Elliott or was she using him all along? Surely a house that size would have alarms / cctv. Josh was too good for her.

Just finished bingeing this- was very typical of Alice Seabright. I read Lovely Bones a long time ago which focused on messages from beyond the grave again.

I found this adaptation compelling and wonderfully acted. Well done, BBC.
