I welled up at the Insta feed. I know it’s only a dumb tv show but I’ve watched it from the start and it was my 20 mins of much welcome peace when my kids were little that’s just stuck as a part of my day. I’m really going to miss it.

I watched from the beginning then stopped and started again when kids were little. It time stamped my day and it was familiar and easy. And child friendly!

Similar for me. Stopped watching for a bit in late 80s but started again when Kennedy's arrived

I feel so sad about it. Soaps ending never happens! Especially after so many years, it feels wrong

I used to watch it religiously when on BBC and then when it changed channels stopped. But like others, picked it back up when on mat leave and has been a constant series link for the past nearly 12 years. 😢😢😢

It does diversity very well too and I don’t even notice it most of the time.

I'm really pissed off that they did this, the bloody show is ending, just give people a happy ending for God's sake! (I got through too many tissues)

I mean it was beautifully done, and I'm glad they gave it the space it needed but they're friggity poo heads. Like Katie said, just give them a happy ending. Even if he had to finish filming, surely they could have negotiated an early end or a break for Mackenzie. Send them off on honeymoon, then move them to Sydney in their new apartment. If she had to finish her contract she could have popped back to sort stuff at Uni before transferring. It isn't difficult. Gah.
