It’ll probably be on iPlayer. I can’t remember what time it was he was on but there was an Andrew Lloyd Webber section with Lin Manuel Miranda too. There was a song from Hamilton, The Lion King, Six, Phantom and then they finished on Joseph with all the other musical cast joining in at the end. He did really well. It was a highlight of the concert as some acts we a bit meh (including finale Diana Ross). Elton wasn’t live. I enjoyed Craig David and DH enjoyed Duran Duran (our different youth music taste coming out). Rod Stewart was good but partly as he strayed from his own songs and sang Sweet Caroline which is exactly the kind of song you need at an event like that. Something that has everyone singing together. They should have end on something like that. Diana Ross sang a song no one seemed to know and then a very streamlined version of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough that didn’t get the crowd going at all as it was just a limp version of the chorus.

It’s a very good review, I started watching when Duran Duran were on.

Jason did good, I agree. We paused at David Attenborough so got the last bit to go. I'm not a Duran Duran or Craig David fan, though Rod was good but feeling his age, Diversity was over taken by the Banjo Ego. We liked Queen and loved the musical section (adore Phantom). Sam Ryder clearly living and loving his best life. But some of it just was a bit meh.

We needed some Indie Rock. Bit of Bastille or reforming of Noah and the Whale. Even Take That!!

Oh yes take that would’ve been good, better than Diana Ross.
