I worked with Katie Price for a few days several years ago.

She was friendly and caring, but she also had a dangerous wild streak. Sadly, her wild streak often overtook her whole personality. I'm not surprised that she struggles to get regularly work these days.

In my (unprofessional & anecdotal) opinion, she has undiagnosed ADHD and possibly some learning difficulties too.

People I have spoken with have said she is lovely in real life.

I think she has some big issues, and she needs to get a hold of them before she kills someone (with her driving) or herself

I'd like to see a mirror image thread in which we all try and sympathise and make excuses for Ant McPartlin... not going to happen is it and he's not a tenth of KP and what she has done

I also don't think MH problems equate to being disqualified from driving, what, 7 times? More? What an insult to those who are bi polar/ have ADHD/ have a personality disorder

Her parenting is dismal. Just dismal. And that's just from what she herself puts out there

However of course I don't wish her ill. I wish her better. But honestly, it's like watching a car crash in real time

Totally agree. I can’t understand all her supporters and fans. If she was a bloke she’d have been in prison already. She’s a compulsive liar and attention seeker.

Also I notice Junior wasn’t in the program at all … could it be that he’s old enough now to see her for what she is and distance himself from it all to spare his own reputation? He wants to be a singer like his dad doesn’t he? Can’t imagine he wants the KP brand associated with him

Apart from one brief photo at his grandmother's house at Christmas, Junior has not been seen with Katie for well over a year.

I’m finding this series unbearable. I just feel that her trajectory is leading her to a very, very dark place indeed.
I feel so sorry for her kids being brought up by someone who is essentially a child and no emotional maturity or wisdom whatsoever.
She’s so child-like. Thinking that she needs to do up the children’s’ rooms and then everything will be okay. Jet seemed like he was terrified of her when he saw his room.
Such a sad sad story. I do hope her children get access to lots of therapy.

No need to worry on that account. She's not bringing them up - Harvey is now in year-round, full-time residential college and the other 4 live with their fathers.

Harvey looks so well and happy now he's got consistency and routine. The college he's at is amazing, a real centre of hope... I live close by. He's lost weight now he's not being placated with food and he has proper care.

It's just a shame that now he's 18 he doesn't have the protection of the law as her other children have. She can (and does) exploit him for all its worth, sadly.

There is very little on MN about her.
Nearly everything that we know about KP actually comes from the horse's mouth - her SM profiles. The papers just regurgitate stuff from there.
But it doesn't take a rocket science to work out that her children cannot - and do not - live with her. Besides, she let slip herself about SS having been involved in a post she subsequently deleted.

There was a time when she did seem to be developing a successful business / brand with her pony range and books, plus the perfumes, which would have allowed her to step back from needing to sell her private life to the media whilst making money.

She has said she was sexually abused as a child, then was exploited with her glamour modelling whilst still a teenager which I think has left her with major issues.

For me it shows the whole ' it's empowering for women to make money from this' for the damaging bullshit it really is.

I hope she does manage to sort herself out, especially for the sake of her children, but that doesn't seem likely.

I completely agree. I think she has undiagnosed ADHD. It would explain a lot about the way she acts etc. She has had so much to deal with in life. I really just want her to do well and get the best support.

I liked it and was glad to see her having hope for the future.

It’s hard to take in the amount of crap that has been accumulated, maybe clearing it out will give her space to think clearly. She must have earned millions over the years. All that stuff would give anyone anxiety!!

As a child of a hoarder I found it hard to watch her bringing more stuff into the house while it was still full, and all the dogs, it would be too chaotic for me. I would get rid of absolutely everything and would not live in a house that big without a team of people cleaning it and taking care of it like Downton Abbey.
Her mother and sister both seem very nice too.

I was happy to see that she will get counselling every week for the rest of her life, that’s good news and I know she is on here sometimes so if you are reading this Katie keep going forward and good luck.

The way some people are talking is like she's an innocent bystander to her own downfall and she's been through a lot through no fault of her own. Yes- she's been through a lot but many of the things she's been through have been as a direct result of her lifestyle, the way she has put her entire life on film, the things she says and the very bad decisions she has made. Even before her MH issues have been documented.

I wonder if it's because junior is now old enough to make his own decisions about seeing his mother and the access she gets isn't ordered by the court anymore. Either way if it's true it's sad for both of them. I have watched the reality shows on and off since he was born and it's sad that it's come to this. They used to seem very close.

I think she was very young early in her career, known to be a survivor of childhood sexual abuse (which skews boundaries and leaves a trauma response), definitely was exploited (by the culture, the industry, men she dated), and has remained very vulnerable throughout.

It has been blatantly obvious for a very long time that she has issues and needs a intensive therapeutic support. She didn’t get it because she was enabled by those around her and was a valuable commodity in her industry.

Her “industry” is nasty. It chews women up and spits them out. It tends to attract damaged (abused) young women in the first place.

Slut shaming her for decisions she made as a very young WC woman, influenced by others, is revolting.
