I thought the whole thing was quite sad - assuming it's true when she says the mansion was wrecked by people breaking in when it was empty, and that people had been using her land to dump waste.

Where was she living when all that happened? It can't have deteriorated so quickly during just the time she was in rehab, surely - although that's what she implied.

She came across as very needy - there were lots of "oops silly me" moments. And she seems desperate to get attention from her children. I've read on MN that they all live with their fathers, apart from Harvey, who's in a residential home. I wondered how much use they will get from these lovely rooms she's creating for them.
It all seemed very sad.

Sorry but your sadness is misplaced. She let the house go to wrack and ruin while she was still living there by calling in builders who then left jobs because she didn’t pay them. Her debts including her mortgage on the house run to millions. She has limited access to her children because of her addictions and legal issues. She will hopefully soon get the jail sentence she deserved when she drove her car under the influence when she was banned. Channel 4 should be ashamed of themselves for airing this and her.

I don’t believe the house was ransacked, who the fuck would steal floorboards and kitchen islands etc? Her house has been called the mucky mansion for years - so what was her excuse for it being a state before the supposed break in?

Seems weird someone would steal a heavy kitchen island

And insane pulling up bedroom floorboards to put in the kitchen

To then have to replace bedroom floorboards tho obv carpet over them

I know she's not very much liked, I'm not a fan. I use to like her years ago but she didn't come across well in her last reality programme.

I have to admit that I didn't like the house before, it was very dark and a lot of greys and of course dirty looking. The job done on the woodwork is fab, the rooms they showed finished are lovely and much better than before.

She seemed to be a little bit of her old self in this programme, I think though when men are around her she becomes a dick.

Her kids are amazing, such lovely polite, kind, loving children. The love between them all is clear and I do hope she gets her act together for their sake.

Her sister and Mum are just so nice. Her sister is so genuine and clearly worries about everyone. Her Mum is adorable, poor woman is so ill, she must be so worried as I honestly believe Kate will go off the rails when the Mum dies. The room they did turned out really lovely.

There's so much work needed on the house, the builder Steve is amazing, I want Steve in my house, an honest builder not afraid of work and so helpful and can do anything ❤️

Overall I enjoyed it, I would have loved to see the whole house done but obviously it's not finished yet and with what has been going on in her life.

I hope Kate gets the help she needs. It's obvious that she has mental health issues, I won't comment on how I feel personally about her behaviour as it'll get deleted.

I can't comment on the "mental health" issues. I know that's what she says though.
But some of it is personality. It seems rather odd that she is championing anti-trolling online when there are allegations (and a restraining order for f2f abuse) about her own behaviour.

SOME of that damage to the house may have been caused by burglars/vandals. But a great deal of it is due to her own neglect, for whatever reason.

My parents did this in their house when they were alive, they got their fire place removed altogether and there was no match for the floorboards, they could get something close but not as good quality and it was a big space so would have looked ridiculous, they took floorboards from upstairs and used downstairs, as upstairs is carpeted it was a good idea to put the cheaper wood flooring up there as it was covered with carpets, their sitting room looked fab when done, this was the same situation as Kate, she could not find a close match so better to use the decent boards from upstairs as it was all going to be carpeted.

This. She should be in jail and not being paid and given a platform for her skewed view of reality. She needs real help and reality tv and only fans is not the way to help that.

I’m only watching as I genuinely love renovations and the house could be beautiful - it was almost criminal what she did to that hallway. The best room in the house was the one her mother designed - that was beautiful and very tasteful (only for the daft daughter to come in and say “nice effort, but it’s not to my taste” … no it wouldn’t be love, because it’s classy and tasteful 🙄

The narrator refers to Steve as a handyman not a builder. I wonder where he gets all the machinery / vehicles.

Presume channel 4 are paying him and paying for materials?

Princesses room looks a bit childish with the neon light and crown and pink walls and pink bed. Mine are 9 and 11 and they wanted rid of the pink a while ago.

I wonder whether she or her agent has seen the hype of Mrs Hinch. Her making things is kind of a mix between MH and the Sarah Beeney show. I wonder if she really does enjoy up-recycling.

I've always quietly wished that KP would sort herself out. She did well for herself and could have carved out a decent tv career.

She has done some stupid and terrible things. But she gets given a much harder time than any of her exes. They have all used her and made money off her name.

Well the hall was a bit much with how she dressed it but the rest of the rooms were fine. There was nothing too out there and making all the wood lighter definitely made the place better

I'm not a huge fan but I think she's had a lot of issues going on for years and I hope she can sort herself and the house out for the dcs sake if nothing else

They've made money DESPITE forever being saddled with the embarrassment of her name.

i'm very much on the "why hasnt she been locked up yet" team - and I am wondering how on earth she is paying for the stuff she is buying etc (just watching her in the garden centre she must have spent a fortune!!) but.... that said, she comes across as quite human.

I dont think that they have made any losses by their association with her - they are all in the same low level celeb pond

The fact that she's being paid a lot of money and given a prime time TV slot after being convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol while banned is disgusting. She's since broken the terms of a restraining order and Channel 4 had every chance to pull that show.

Especially when she admitted on Instagram that SS have removed her children. She's not allowed to see them if the new BF is around. What sort of Mum does this? A fucking crap one.
