Anyone watch? New series started. I really like it but it gives me anxiety!

The new season hasn’t really set me on fire. I don’t think much hasn’t happened, the sheriff was forgotten really quickly. Darleen hasn’t really done anything, Ruth just wanders about and Wendy doesn’t do anything in the politics world except make a couple of calls 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe it’s just me…

I know what you mean Yellow I felt a bit the same but still love the atmosphere and dynamics.

Binged this over the weekend , I really do not like Wendy
No spoilers of course , but how brilliant was Ruth , her emotions etc I think she's my fave in this

A couple of episodes in (ended up watching the last three of series 3 as we’d forgotten everything).

The acting is great. I don’t think the writing is as clever as Breaking Bad, but that’s a high bar in my opinion and nothing against Ozark.

I thought it was back to its higher standard. I thought it lost its way a bit in series 3. On a binge watch today after watching 3 episodes yesterday.

I bingewatched the whole thing. OMG! I think the acting is great as always- Julia Garner deserves her third Emmy- but the writing has got lazy. Javi and Darlene just appear to be unhinged and not credible as power players, lashing out at anyone in their way in the silliest fashion. I preferrred Season 2 and even 3, where everyone's actions made some sense. Miss Janet Mcteer too!

I really love the way Wendy Byrd has gone from all mom and apple pie to mafia mama, though:)

Utterly brilliant. Will feel bereft when it's over. Love how they still all sit at the table for home cooked family dinners in spite of all thats going on .

Ruth is The Bomb. She is my favourite. I want her to win, to prevail over her tough life (haven't watched it all so I am being very careful on this thread in case there are spoilers!).

Yes, the first part of it.

We have just finished episode 5, will finish part 1 tonight. After a slow start I think it got going in episode 3, and we are hooked! I think season 3 was easily the hardest act to follow, and am not disappointed so far!

Based on the comments above re Ruth and acting / emotions am guessing personal shit's gonna go down (maybe re Wyatt?!). Can't wait!

Yes, it is amazing how forgiving the kids are of their parents' massive fuckups. Mine are peeved at me even when I am not making them work for a drugs cartel and cover up murders.:)

Ruth. Oh my god that last episode. She should win an Oscar for that.

I - no spoilers - all ways thought that she wouldn’t ‘win’. Women like her tend not to. But does she?

Just finished season 4 part 1. Hope they won’t keep us waiting too long got the final 7=episodes.

Ruth's acting in the final episode is outstanding. Fantastic

I also think the daughters acting is fantastic and I think she's studying Wendy to get all her little gestures and expressions the same to show they are actually mother and daughter. Such great attention to detail.
