It’s such a silly tale, the storylines are stale, ‘It’s gone to pot!’, we wail; we’ll try to give it up - but fail.

@FromDespairToHere

Actually it might have been repossessed from Don and then the council bought it.

Ah, that might explain it! I'm sure an in-depth Google might reveal all but I'm always wary to look as often spoilers pop up in search results 🤦‍♀️

PennyRoyal · 17/01/2022 21:12

@MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry

Amy was dressed like a middle aged mum in the 90’s today 😂

And what on earth is Summer wearing - that smock dress and those boots!

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 17/01/2022 21:13

Summers outfits have long baffled me.

Housewife2010 · 17/01/2022 21:14

We've got seven boring months of Summer droning on about Oxford until she gets her results.

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 17/01/2022 21:51

@Housewife2010

I loved Faye's line to Craig "And stop baking bread. My knickers are cutting off my circulation as it is".
That made me laugh out loud! I also laughed.when Craig said he'd seen Cerberus 'do a number two'. So unrealistic . I know they can't swear but he.could have.said.it in a slightly less twee way. Tim is still seriously getting on my tits.
Akire · 17/01/2022 21:56

How is Craig supposed to be making bread when he can hardly stand??

Summer if you have to ask “will this stop
Me Going Oxford” you don’t deserve a space. She’s not going get to Oxford there be some eating/family/boyfriend crisis and we know ALL THIS FOR MONTHS WILL BE FOR NOTHING!

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 17/01/2022 21:56

Where are they going with this stupid Craig on spy watch storyline? Is he going to be accused of perving on Amy and lose his job?

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 17/01/2022 21:57

Pleeeeeeaseeee let summer go to Oxford. Or anywhere. Pleeese!

Akire · 17/01/2022 22:03

Are they trying Be funny with Craig as the Detective and open window (can’t remember the name of the old film) where he does indeed try solve a real crime/murder from his arm chair.

eddiemairswife · 17/01/2022 22:20

Rear Window with James Stewart.

eggandonion · 17/01/2022 23:11

Oxford Brookes might be an option, I suppose. I think Craig might have a bread machine, just chuck everything in.
It was tedious tonight.

icecreamgirl94 · 18/01/2022 01:57

Right well after seeing that valuation I’m definitely moving up north, you’re lucky to get a one bed flat for £250k round here! 😭

BigHairyCoconut · 18/01/2022 11:55

House prices are low in Wetherfield because it's full of serial killers, adulterers, arsonists, and knobheads.

Housewife2010 · 18/01/2022 12:11

There are always jobs available in Weatherfield though. If you need a job, one will suddenly become available at the pub, the Kabin, the knicker factory, taxi office or Roy's Rolls. You'll be paid enough to be able to go out for a couple of meals a day and spend most nights in the pub. If you decide to move away to that London, you'll be able to move that day in a taxi with little packing or organisation. Unfortunately any marriage is unlikely to last and there's a good chance that you will end up in prison at some point.

Juletide · 18/01/2022 12:27

A tiny street with a sinkhole problem and nowhere to park? No thanks.

Honeyroar · 18/01/2022 12:31

Yes you wouldn’t really get a great valuation with a sink hole next door!

Honeyroar · 18/01/2022 12:35

Right - I’m puzzled. Most Corrie terraces, they live in the back room around a dining table with the kitchen going off. They’ve come in through/past another room at the front. At Chesney and gemma’s you come in at the foot of the stairs and they live in that room. But there doesn’t seem to be another room further back, just a narrow kitchen. The room they live in has a window to the back like a back room would have. Their living room is small, it’s not knocked through- so where is their other room??

eggandonion · 18/01/2022 13:57

Is it the infil house len built, about 1976?

Akire · 18/01/2022 14:02

Lots those houses are really dark and gloomy my Nan had one. Makes sense have it knocked through now we don’t have front parlour “for best”

Originally most those houses would had no kitchen just a stove in back room. If watch early Corrie you can see old style black lead stoves with sink in corner.

Someone like Ken’s was much more modern with brick extension and fitted kitchen. Where fizz never had that and still have no separate kitchen. Eileen, Aggie all have added on kitchen extension with no doubt a bathroom above to get the extra bedroom.

Amazing! I love that there's a full history including the back story of people who lived there before Corrie was a thing Grin

Akire · 18/01/2022 16:06

That history is amazing

CiaoForDiNiaoSaur · 18/01/2022 16:33
