Joseph asking his dad if they're poor has me in tears. It reminds me of the time DS1 came out of school, told me he had a letter about a trip but it was ok, he knew it cost a lot of money and that I didn't have a lot.
The trip was £15, but to 7 year old him that was a small fortune!
And in case anyone cares he did go on the trip. So did I. To the zoo. It was ace.

Of course Summer all go to Oxford, all the soap characters do.
Then, like they all do, come home after one term with the excuse of being homesick and get an instant job in the cafe/pub/knicker factory/garage/bistro.
Then it is bye bye Oxford for ever.

Yasmeen was getting all emotional about her father and how much the restaurant meant to her… but wasn’t it Zeedan and Rana who set it up originally? I’m sure Yasmeen only bought into the place when Rana left Zeedan.

I think some uni give unconditional offers to full spaces and pay fees on course. If it’s Oxford you can afford to be picky and only take those who get highest grades. Summer is such a wet blanket, if you can’t fill in form for months and thought of getting A* and AA feel impossible you get eaten alive at Oxford. She’s going really hate it all those confident clever people. Seriously she have nervous breakdown before Billy’s back on motorway.

The quads are always asleep upstairs. I barely went to the loo on my own with one, was run ragged and never went anywhere so goodness knows how you manage with with four. Yet Gemma and other parents are forever down the pub or like Sarah and Adam on a night out or even have time to have a leisurely breakfast in the cafe on their own before work etc!!! But I suppose many working parents both live and work on the same small street.

Does Chesney still work in the kebab place? Nobody ever seems to mention kebabs.
I think Summer might be happier at a small college near home, not Oxbridge or Russell Group. I suspect Billy could get her into an old theological college which now does a nice arts degree.
