I might have to stop watching until the grey storyline is over. I can't bear to watch him controlling Chelsea, knowing what he's capable of. I found the last episode really upsetting.

Just read that Danny dyer will be leaving the show this year to go and work for sky

I read yesterday that Danny Dyer is on a nearly a million pound contract already with EE , but he wants to to go to Sky too!

I don't mind DD leaving - hope he takes drunk Linda with him & Shirley too (but only because she hasn't had a decent storyline in such a long time).

I'd like there to be quite a big cull of characters & for some new ones brought in.

I would thought spoiler too the only exclusion being someone is obvious real life pregnant and we know at some point story will involve trip to Spain/mothers/new job/jail.

We already had huge cull of recent characters Liam, Tiff, Keegan, Stu grandma, Bernie, Linda, Habiba, Patrick’s wife, Ruby, Frankie that’s just last few months.

I think that cop is defo bluffing!! No way would someone like Aiden be a grass. She wants Phil sweating (more than he usually does) and she’s now hoping he will slip up.

I too feel uncomfortable watching the gray and Chelsea story. It’s dragging out a bit. Hopefully dee will spot something soon and get action Jack to the rescue!

I'd really like Chelsea to rescue herself rather than needing Jack or anyone else to do it & to give Grey his just desserts!

I enjoyed the banter between Mitch and Karen in the launderette re where he would sleep because of the dog. They are like a couple that could "get together" again ... They have a different dynamic for sure!

Yes and Mitch trying to blag a settee for the night too. Much more banter, lighthearted stuff would be good.

The parts where Karen and Mitch were joking with Keegan too, they all seemed to be ad-libbed, the way they were all chuckling 😀

If it's the news about DD then it's already been mentioned here several times so should be fine.

There is a spolier thread but it's very rarely used and I searched for it but gave up after the list stopped mentioning EE

If they are culling loads of characters to solve the viewing figure problem, I'm not sure it will work. The issue is the writing. They are recycling old storylines with the same characters. None of them really develop or change. It's the same old Phil, Ian, Sharon and Stacey etc, doing the same storylines over again. Any new storylines with new characters are over in a matter of weeks and then a box is ticked (FGM storyline as one example). New characters don't really develop and seem to be there to support the characters that have been around too long and then vanish without me feeling like I've ever got to know them.

They have got rid of some great characters in the past (Big ABI is one example, she could have been much like Janine but without the over egging it), but not really filled the gap. They have turned promising characters like Ruby into someone who isn't really likeable.

If they are going to cull a lot of people they need to work with the characters they have left, develop new storylines well and not drag out old ones and turn the characters into panto villains like Grey. People that give the show a bit of fun like Karen are really underused too.
