The problem with many EE storylines is it's so long , it's been 18 months since Chantelle and over a year now since Tina died and people forget it was all to do with Ian Beale being attacked that triggered the Tina death and why Gray killed her :( I know that it was because she realized that he had killed C and confronted him etc , but it became intertwined with something else too.
It can become confusing and I watch every episode.
Or maybe I shouldn't give it too much headspace !

But if we wanted a character to come back with the recent Phil story lines

Obv be Vincent

Vincent can only come back if Kim gets it on with PandaSuitMan (whose name escapes me and I cannot be bothered looking up ) they'lll be in a clinch , Vincent will walk in ( obviously knowing where Kim lives 'cos she's moved from the House of Horror ) with keys .
Little Mica and GiantBabyPearl will shout "Daddeeeee" even though Vincent and Mica have never met .
Vincent will do the raised eyebrow wide bulgey eyes look , Panda Man willl be what where who why when

The panda man is called Howie.
I suppose if Vincent isn't properly dead etc etc then the police will have to release Phil then ?
It might be a way of getting him out without him resorting to ' grassing ' up the people who abducted Vincent and Aidan etc

Well, that very much depends on what the police have Phil for. Not even they seem sure given they arrested him, with glee, for affray.

Much as I would like Vincent back is Richard Blackwood not in Hollyoaks atm?
Hopefully the many murders of Gray will be sorted soon agree with pp it's all gone on too long!

Is anyone else getting really fed up with the Phil/jail storyline? Why is he even in prison at the mo - because he found a long dead body? Not to mention the whole "going away for life" storyline which is ridiculous because there is a gap between what the walford cops can do and the judges who decide a sentence after a trial! Sorry, been watching too many things like line of duty 😂 but the writers do stretch the imagination somewhat!

Phil had his teeth in his safe for some reason didn't he? I think he used them to make Aidan the Heist back off. I think it's reasonable to assume he is probably deader than most.

Phil is in prison for running amok with a baseball bat/iron bar and scaring a few bullying children. Apparently it was "affray". No one seems sure about the "goin' daaahn for life" bit though.

Yes! Even Richie, the legal hotshot, must have anticipated a trial of some sort before Phil was banged up for life. Or maybe in the Walford justice system, Kat will find out the troof about the deal he was offered and grass up the baddies herself, allowing Phil to be released without breaking the code.

It was obviously not a spoiler if you read it properly. There is no back pedalling.

Obviously there's no way of knowing now but I thought it said "I'm holding out for the return of Nitin Ganatra" and then reminiscing of the power play between Zainab and Masood. Plus, saying that Shabnam and Syed had never interacted on screen.

Like I said, I am absolutely militant about spoilers and, of there'd been one, I would absolutely have spotted and reported it! (And then apologised if I had been wrong rather than being aggressive)

I am perfectly capable of reading, thanks, and know the difference between chatting about characters we'd like to make a return, and posting about when a character will return. I've been on the EE threads for literally years (under various names) and this post was written in the form of a spoiler which is tidally against the spirit of a thread which clearly states 'no spoilers.' There are plenty of other forums where people who are into spoilers can chat if they want.

It's possible I suppose that the poster didn't intend it as a spoiler; but the point is, they wrote it as something which will (not might) happen and is therefore not in the spirit of the thread and was rightly deleted.

The poster in question wrote about when a certain character returns. Quite rightly, their post was deleted.

I think part of the issue is that nobody posts anymore on the spoiler thread and perhaps some people don’t know there is one.

@southeastdweller true, but to be fair there's a reason not many people post on that thread - most of us prefer to watch without checking beforehand what's going to happen!
