@akire no, not at all. They would consider a trachy if the child had, for example, failed extubation, demonstrated a need for permanent ventilation or if their airway was so difficult to secure that they would risk not being able to place one if the child deteriorated.

Yes. How did Grey save Jordan's life? There were 2 choices and both would have kept Jordan alive. It wasn't a life or death decision. He's come through the surgery but there still could be serious complications arising from it.
