I loved Rose and Giovanni, I'm not sentimental normally but definitely felt the emotion between them. Maybe she's just a good actress. :) I think AJ would of been a contender. I've loved some of John and Johannes dances but like pp Johannes is often about him so not watching John as much.

A Rhys and Nancy showdance would have been fast and fun. I was underwhelmed by both. Just rewatched HRVY and Janette from last year and that's more what I want in a showdance!

Re who will Gio get next year - it'll be someone like a current or ex Loose Woman. Jane Mcdonald, Kaye Adams, Linda Robson.......and he won't really care, as he knows he'll never top his experience with Rose Smile

When was the Ed Sheeran performance recorded? I presumed it was tonight but watching back at the end of Aljaz and Janettes performance there’s a shot of the judges and Cynthia Erivo is stood where Motsi should be………

I think the Ed Sheeran spot was pre recorded, I'm sure Janette said on This Morning that she and Aljiaz were heading back to Slovinia for Christmas last week.

I can tell you from attending a couple of the recordings over the years that all pro dances and guest performances are pre-recorded in the hour or two before the show or earlier or on another date. It's entirely possible Ed recorded his a few weeks ago.

I am so happy that they won. She is just beautiful and moving to watch. John is a good dancer but I found him strangely joyless , I tended to watch Johannes more.

Yep. That's my thoughts too. If you keep your eyes on John, the you see that he's mostly standing there, whilst Johannes twirls around him. Johannes does the moves that John should be doing.

Just love Strictly. Like a night out on my own. Either cook a nice meal from scratch or if feeling lazy Tesco Finest. Mini spa. Just functional hygiene usually and forget to use products.
Clean soft comfortable bottoms, t shirt, slouchy jumper. Wet hair.
Pop the Prosecco. Bliss.
Think all 3 finalists deserved to win tonight.

I was gutted for AJ, and also her loss was missed in the show. I believe Rose would have won regardless, but it would have been a more entertaining evening with AJ's Charleston and showdance in the mix.

Rose's showdance was very pretty and romantic and sweet - as were her two other dances tonight. Lovely but not massively exciting. Pity she didn't redo her tango to bring a bit of an edge.

John really raised his game with the two repeats - the paso and rumba were two of his best dances and he did them brilliantly. The showdance let him down - no wow to it and they were out of sync.

Lovly to see Rose so excited at winning.

I've just watched some previous showdances on YouTube ànd they all without exception had far more content and much more wow factor than either of tonight's. Maisie and Gorka, Alexandra and Gorka, Danny and Oti......
Interestingly, Gio and Debbie's had some of the same spinny lifts he did with Rose.
