Sara said she felt a loss and has Aljaz visit.
Amy also ''wasn't ready'' so if both want to have a last session for a week, it's not affecting anyone else at all.
I think the difference is that Aljaž visited Sara to help with the "post Strictly transition" - he took her out for dinner, spent time with her kids and husband etc - in the first few days when you're still partly in the Strictly bubble doing the post-Strictly press but don't have training to fill the days. Sara was gutted to be out and had a really close bond to Aljaž but if they spent any of their post Strictly transition dancing, they kept it off social media so that the focus was on how supportive Aljaž was being to Sara and her family even though they were out of the competition.
Amy and Tom are presenting it in a way that screams "I'm just going to pretend that I'm still in the competition, so please engage with our training and dancing in the same way you're doing to those who are still in the competition". To me, it comes across as desperate and clingy. He's perfectly entitled to continue to dance with Amy if he wishes but the way he is presenting it, to me at least, is just cringy.
