@WeAreTheHeroes

Jaysus: the cheapest ticket is £120. Gulp.
Saw the previous post about it being on which reminded me that I'd seen something about it and forgotten. I got very excited about maybe going along to it but if the cheapest ticket is £120 then I've got two hopes of that.

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams

I've just looked back since she joined.

In Series 17, there were only two occasions where the first three judges weren't unanimous. In one case, Motsi agreed with Bruno, once with Craig. Shirley saved the person Motsi hadn't voted for both times.

Last year there were only three judges (and she missed two weeks), so it was a bit different, but in the last three weeks she voted the other way to Craig each time. Shirley agreed with her once, and agreed with Craig twice (so she was the Lone Dissenter twice).

Craig hasn't been the dissenting vote yet this series either — Anton and Shirley each have twice.

nobody would have thought that Craig would be the conformist one!

Bless Sophie Ellis-Bextor doing her kitchen dancefloor danceathon for children in need - has been dancing since 9am - Jamie Laing has just joined her (it's on i-player). He just said her jive was the best thing he'd ever seen and she said Do you mean charleston, my jive was crap! (it was, she did a jive to maneater near some bins for Halloween Grin)

TheDeadlyNightShade · 16/11/2021 18:47

I absolutely adored Stacey Dooleys AS in Musical’s Week to I Dreamed a Dream from Les Mis. I can’t see Toms being as good as that.

StucklnAMuumuuCantGetOutOflt · 16/11/2021 18:47

Her feet are tired. It reminds me of They shoot horses don't they? By tomorrow she'll be going from one foot to the other like I do!

Jellykat · 16/11/2021 18:56

Must be more knackering for SEB to be dancing and constantly having to think about what to say at the same time... shes doing so well!

StucklnAMuumuuCantGetOutOflt · 16/11/2021 18:59

Gary Davies is dancing like I do - damn, they just faded her out as she was about to spill tea on Tony Blackburn and the GC: she has a mandatory 5 minute break each hour. Jamie could have been dancing more. I will chuck her some money though - being on your feet for 24 hours is some commitment right there.

ChessieFL · 16/11/2021 19:17

When Motsi had to miss a week or two last year, she was temporarily replaced by one of the pros who was already out (Anton). Maybe they will do the same this year, so could be Neil, Gorka, Aljaz, Karen, Dianne, Oti or Katya. Of those I think Neil or Karen would do the best job (or Oti, but I don’t think they would have sisters on the panel!)

EvilRingahBitch · 16/11/2021 19:25

There's a daily lottery for £25 tickets for Cabaret on TodayTix. I've never had any luck with those things but it's worth a pop I guess.

WeAreTheHeroes · 16/11/2021 19:31

If you're not in or near London it's even more of a gamble. Maybe it'll tour.

EvilRingahBitch · 16/11/2021 19:40

It's set up to be a literal cabaret style production so they'd have to ditch that if it were to tour.

WeAreTheHeroes · 16/11/2021 19:41

Why? Doesn't have to tour theatres.

Jellykat · 16/11/2021 19:42

OMG Stuckin shes 42! not an ounce of cellulite or wrinkle in sight Shock

EvilRingahBitch · 16/11/2021 19:46

Yes I guess they could do an imaginative search for venues but even so doing the set-up and blocking for a run of just a handful of days might be challenging.

@Iwantacampervan

I saw Sara and Aljaž's Q&A on the Strictly Insta and someone asked what they would have been dancing to this week and Aljaž said it would have been a song from Six, and now I'm even more mad that she went out last weekend because I love that show and would love to see more contemporary musicals showcased. I really would have loved to see this as it's my latest favourite musical - I wonder what song ? If we new the style of dance then we could add our guesses.
I'm not sure what dances Sara still had left to do but I would have assumed it would have been a ballroom of some description to either Heart of Stone (Seymour) or I Don't Need Your Love (Parr).

I would 100% rule out Haus of Hobein and Get Down as they wouldn't fit any of the dances and then Don't Lose Your Head (my personal favourite) and All you Wanna Do have some PG13 lyrics so they would have to change the arrangement and they don't really suit SCDs style which would leave No Way and Six but I can't see either of them fitting a SCD dance

Footloose jive>Edelweiss waltz >Good morning charleston>Love is an open door QS >chim chim cher-ee VW>on my own contempowaft>revolting children couples choice

Think Rhys will smash it. Potentially more than Colin and Alison.

Was beautiful when LeastWorstMemberOfBlue did it Good morning charleston - can see it working (elements when Kev did QS to it) Craig would have marked low for Dan's swivel Love is an open door will get Disney Princess girls voting (Derek did couple's choice to it on DWTS) Erin and Ricky Groves did an AS to chim chim cheree; will J+J be two sweeps and will John tuck his bum under On my own will get Les Mis fans voting Revolting children is an interesting choice but less widely known (apart from the 2 million views here Wink) It might get votes for originality especially if Tommy Franzen does the choreo, haven't seen so much of him this year, do we know who is doing the choreo for Tilly? They could recycle Jamie Laing's school desks from last year? Wink
Catquestion · 16/11/2021 23:01

@EsmaCannonball

I was hoping for Kai all cowboy-ed up à la Hugh Jackman in Oklahoma! but Captain von Trapp will do.

(Why have they never done Oklahoma!? A VW to Oh What a Beautiful Morning would be great.)

Or “I’m just a girl who can’t say no” - would a Charleston work to that if the tempo was upped a bit?
Bluffinwithmymuffin · 17/11/2021 04:42

Couldn’t they also do an AS to Surrey With a Fringe on Top, or maybe a QS to the farmer and the cowboy? VW to Many a New Day?

Have they ever used anything at all from Oklahoma?

StucklnAMuumuuCantGetOutOflt · 17/11/2021 05:54

Nope. They also missed a trick there - could have had AJ and Kai dance to People will say we're in love...

Even I felt a bit in love with AJ after watching her on ITT yesterday. She looked flawless!

Out of My Dreams is a good Viennese Waltz from Oklahoma.
