By the time Jamie got to the final, though, his dancing had really improved and the public generally had warmed to him; I’m not seeing that with Dan atm. His dancing is mediocre and he’s starting to grate, getting his last word in all the time... so much so, I’m wondering if he thinks there might be a job on Strictly for him in future.,

Motsi looks fabulous! She absolutely rocks those outfits! She's also really creative with her hair, the pieces and the wigs. I love her looks.

I agree. All the bright colours, crazy stying and 101 ways with her hair are Motsi’s thing and she carries it off every time. Even when I don’t much like what she’s wearing, I like what she’s wearing (if you know what I mean)

Just came across this thread. Tess is just a parrot...a judge says something, and she repeats it I.e. Shirley says "it was a big improvement on last week" Tess says "a big improvement!"
DH and I record it on Sky...we watch the dances, judges comments and scores and fast forward everything else.

I think Motsi looks great. Would I dress like that? Hell no! She absolutely rocks everything she wears though.

I watched Dan Walker on BBC Breakfast this morning. He was interviewing the former Commander of the space station, Chris Hadfield. It was fascinating. At one point the Hadfield asked him about Strictly - Dan just politely batted it back saying he was enjoying it, but the stories of space were far more interesting! No ego, no dominating the conversation.

That's a ridiculous thing to say. He is not comparable to John Sargent, who was hopeless and seemed not to care about improving.
Dan is a non-dancer starting from zero who is working hard and getting better every week. I thought his dance this week was lovely; he and Nadiya are charming together. IMO the partnership, and his application to the work and his falling in love with dancing, are what people are voting for; and I can't argue with that.
I usually agree with Craig, but in this case I think he was wrong and simply cruel.
Anton put it best: 'I judge Dan against himself.'

On the others:
Liked Rose's message but the dance was a bit formless and saccharine.
Liked AJ, despite the judges' comments. Good frock.
Was surprised Sara went out; her AT had more attack when she did it in the DO and I thought she made a good fist of it (again, for a non-dancer).
Tilly was sweet and the Charleston bits really suited her.
Tom is SO dull. Sorry Amy, love you, but I'm so bored with him now.
Rhys: probably good but I just found it frenetic.

I don't agree about the improvement, but yes the public did seem to love him, although god knows why

I love Motsi but her hair did look like Marge Simpson this weekend 😂 not her best style! I also think she is a terrible judge, she doesn’t say anything useful at all. This series has been really poor from her. But I do really like her so I’m fine with it 😄

Dan will go out soon enough. No way he’ll make it to the final. Once we start to get to the business end, people will switch their votes to the better dancers to try get them to the final. I voted for Sara most weeks as I liked her but by the quarter finals, I’d have switched to voting for Rose & John to try make sure they got through & no shock exits!

I do worry about Tom. I cannot stand him & his smug wife. And they have a huge fan base. He’s a shoe in for the final for me. He is someone for me who will never be in the bottom two unless he is bottom of the leader board & even then, he could be saved on votes. Very much like Joe Sugg (who I found myself surprisingly loving). Which means we’ll end up with an interesting semi final. I’ll literally cause a riot if he pushes John, Rose or AJ out. I don’t love AJ but she’s a great dancer!

Luckily, I think Rose has enough behind her to win. She reminds me of Stacey Dooley. Not the best of the celebs but a real trier and she’s so enjoyable to watch. And a fantastic partnership with Gio!

I’ve also really liked Amy until this series. Now she’s become smug annoying like the Fletchers. She looks completely star struck by him, which is bizarre.

Completely agree about Motsi. She comes out with bland stuff like 'you really owned it' and 'of course there were a few mistakes' but never tells them what those mistakes were or how to improve! Compare with Anton who generally gives very clear and useful feedback. Motsi can be very funny and looks amazing but yes, rubbish judge

I am voting for Dan because I enjoy watching him and I like his partnership with Nadiya, she has really blossomed this series. I would rather watch Dan that’s Sara, Tilly or Tom (and usually Rhys but I did love his Charleston this week).

However, if the final is going to be three people I want those to be Rose, John and AJ so at some point I will stop voting for Dan to try and make sure my three favourites are in the final. However, I will continue to vote for Dan over Tilly and Tom.

I don’t think Dan should drop out. It’s obvious many on this thread don’t like him but clearly a lot of the public do like him and want to carry on watching him, so it would be an insult to those voting for him to drop out. It would also mess up numbers in the final, they can’t really afford to lose anyone else (unless they shorten the series by a week).

I'm probably being really thick here, but due to Robert dropping out does that mean we will have four couples in the final?

With one or two exceptions the pros do not choreograph Couple's Choice, the Argentine tango, the Charleston, the salsa or the showdance.

Dan (who I did vote for a couple of weeks ago) has a habit of doing that 'Can I just say .....' thing. He does it all the time on ITT when Janette or Rylan have just wrapped up the interview. There was one episode where Janette didn't have time left to tell the viewers what was coming up on the next show because Dan had to get a word in. As someone who works in live television he must know what he's doing.

If they could produce television drama where the speech is audible to anyone other than bats, that would be a start. Lots of hearing people use subtitles and would like them for on-demand programmes too!

I like Dan, so likeable and doesn't take himself too seriously. Love the silent part of Rose's dance, very powerful but I do wish the Deaf aspect didn't lead quite so much. It is part of her yes, we know that but it shouldn't define every appearance imo.

Johannes. I like him I just wish he'd tone it down, they are supposed to be supporting and complimenting the celebs but he always seems to be trying to do a one man show. He is almost becoming a parody of a gay dancer.

Ouch! But I know what you mean, I used to quite like Tom back in the day but now the smug , married couple act grates enormously. Just can’t warm to GF at all
