I really struggle to get through Corrie episodes now. I just find everything so dull and uninteresting!

The actor who plays Roy has probably come to realise that the scripts are getting worse instead of better and is cutting his losses.

He looks to have aged considerably over the last year, perhaps the pandemic has been extremely stressful for him and he’s decided to have a break.

Roy going to South America is plain ridiculous. They could have had him going off to somewhere far more believable but remote in the UK e.g. the Outer Hebrides. Mind you, Corrie are notorious for this kind of stupidity. It is completely unbelievable, as was Hope's borstal being in Birmingham- only a couple of hours away from Manchester yet seemingly the other side of the world

Bloody hope Roy comes back. In the meantime, Nina had better look after the cafe and not turn it into something more modern!

Just catching up, would made far more sense Roy get job at some rail way station cafe or top of snowdonia mountain railway.

Could brought in some new character to run cafe, as if Nina would want run it full time and give up on her dreams.

He did but then George forgave him and gave him a 2nd chance, he was working back in the funeral parlour. Then there was the furore over Pat's ashes but we've not seen him since. Or perhaps I've missed it!
