Bryce completely writing off everything his mum said was just classic cunt Bryce. How can he be so utterly delusional?! And daft Melissa, sitting and smiling and nodding away. Infuriating.

I can imagine everyone on this thread lining up to slap some sense into Melissa like on Airplane

Wonder what Brett has been saying about Booka. I’ve thought for a while he alludes to “I like it when she smiles and has fun” and “I like being deep but not all the time” which implies he finds her too heavy/bit boring some of the time. He’s said it in front of her and I was surprised she didn’t get mad with him. Glad they’re addressing it.

Bec’s mum was absolutely awful. Glad Jake is getting away from the “chip off the old block”.

Bryce’s mum was lovely and Melissa’s family. Shame she didn’t listen to them.

Thought it was interesting that both the new girls ranked Brett highly. I wondered if that meant they had watched previous episodes before they got married themselves so they were going off personality more than looks

I think you’re onto something re Brett finding Booka a little too serious @TenThousandSpoons he’s mentioned it vaguely a few times, and I think he does come across as someone who tries to stay fairly upbeat and light.
Bec is vile, her mum is vile. I feel for Jake but honestly he has tried so fucking hard, he literally couldn’t have done any more to try and make it work. I agree with a pp who said how scary it must be for his family to see him so low and stomped on, it would be hard regardless but especially so given his past.

Also, how mortifying for Jake to have trashy Bec and her awful mother being so fucking rude to his mum and sister (in law?) without really being able to stop it or defend them properly without it completely descending into chaos. That would make me so angry.

Brett just always seems a bit grubby to me.
